Nottinghamshire / Bigamist marriage ??

Hi there , would any one know if bigamist marriages would be recorded in the registers ?? I have a friend who's grandfather apparently married in Nottingham after 1940 , he already had a wife in Wales , the gent concerned was caught and made to return to his first wife instead of facing jail !! We also believe there may have been children in the 2nd marriage. Anyone know or have advice as to how I can find info regarding this , many thanks

Devon Lookup Requests / devon birth and marriage look up edith cook

Hi everyone ,
i have a couple of requests regarding the same person namely edith cook c1800 devonport plymouth , edith im hoping is the daughter of elizabeth and james cook , i found her at home on the 1891 census , she married somewhere between 1901 and 1906 also in devonport i believe , my requests is can anyone confirm either , i have tried bmd and no sign of a marriage , yet in 1911 she is at home with her 2 children john and lily still in devonport , no sign of hubby , so is she james and elizabeths daughter and did she marry lol

i have a query , have recently found and obit on my grt uncle james wright in belfast can any one tell me what it means and what he would have belonged too

maybe im thick but rac to me would have him linked to cars in someway but having googled i am not so sure , he is the obit entry :WRIGHT -- The Excellent King and Companions of Windsor R.A.C. Devon / elusive DEWARS of devonport

hi there , can anyone help , we have dug and dug and dug on these dewars , only to find we have more but for some reason cannot find them on any parish registers

any ideas anyone im looking for thomas dewar 1806 (stoke dameral ) james dewar 1811 and amelia dewar 1813 there is also a duncan dewar !! we believe they are siblings of james dewar but are confused as to who the mother is

? james married jane brown in 1816 in maker on the register it has her as a widow and him a bachelor, but all these children are deffo his , on a naval records it states his children from former marriage so that just adds to the confusion !! has anyone any ideas

we did think possibly they were janes and maybe changed names from brown to dewar when the parents married , to be honest we are chasing our tails on this family so hope someone can makes some sense of it all please !!
