A new PROV website beta.prov.vic.gov.au is now available to provide you with a faster search experience and simpler navigation options, making finding what you’re looking for a lot easier. You’ll also be able to search directly through topic pages making our most popular collections much easier to access.

The new website features include:

    Searchable topic pages for our most popular collections
    A handy list of common questions new and experienced researchers often ask us
    A photographic page listing both our digitised and non-digitised collections
    A page featuring online exhibitions about Victorian state history
    Get a sense of what we hold using our data visualisation tool

The test (beta) version of the site will be available for everyone to have a look at until November. To provide feedback simply email it to feedback@prov.vic.gov.au including the Subject heading Beta Site please.

The National Library of Australia has launched a major review of services, with key programs to be curtailed or cancelled amid staff cuts, as management struggles to deal with the Turnbull government's efficiency dividend.

The library expects to shed more than 20 jobs by June 30 with additional redundancies to follow in 2017-18. The library will also reduce the number of international print and online subscriptions available to members.

Here at State Records NSW we are looking at developing a digitisation strategy to cover the next 10 years and we'd love your feedback.

The aim is to select material to digitise and make it available through our website (much like Sentenced beyond the Seas or the new Centenary of Anzac website).

One of the core selection criteria for this process is Access and this is where we need your help.
We need you to tell us what you want!
