London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Look-up PLZ 1851 Census
« on: Saturday 08 November 08 13:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All

I am having a spot of bothere with the 1851 census, so looking for some help PLZ.  Here goes

Looking for MARY BRAUN formerly (KEMP), born abt 1818, poss Pembrokeshire.

Address I have is 21 Colchester Street, St. Olave.

Children I have are:
William Bn. Southwark 1837
Emily Eliza Bn Liverpool 1840
Mary Ann Bn Liverpool 1844
Miriam Frances Bn Mile End, London, 1848
Harriett Bn Stepney 1850

She seems to have been living with a Jonaton Budgeon and his children at the time of the census and married said Jonathon in 1858.

Her first husband was John James Braun and their name was registered as Bryan on the 1841 Census for West Derby, Liverpool and he 'seems' to have died or disappeared sometime between the 1841-51 Census

I know it's a long shot, but would really appreciate some help.

Many thanks

Ken

The Common Room / Advice/Help sought - births
« on: Monday 01 September 08 12:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi all

I am wondering if there is a way of finding out who the parents of a child were, without having to get all the BCs for the same name.

I have 3 Harrys born 1898 (Mar q. and Sep q.) and 1899 and all registered in Edmonton, Middlesex.  There is one on 1901 census aged 3, so I am assuming that the one born in the March quarter of 1898 is the one I need, but is there a way I can check on who his parents were?

Many thanks.

Hi all

Do0n't know if any of you good folk out there can help.

I am trying to find a birth record for SIDNEY EDWARDS. On the 1901 census that I have been given, he was 5 months of age at the census.  Residing at 47 Tilson Road, Tottenham.

Also at the same address:
Harry B Edwards, 24, Head
Annie Edwards, 23, W
Harold Edwards, 2, S
Harry Edwards, 3, S

There were more children at later dates, but it is Sidney, or Sydney, who is causing confusion.

Can anyone help?

Many Thanks.

Hi all

Have 'some' info regardsing the Edwards family of HEBRY ROBERT EDWAARDS, believed to reside at (6?) Tilson Road, ottenham on the 1901 Census.

I am especially interested in names and ages of children at that address on the census.  I have had them in the past, but cannot find them.

Can you help?

Many thanks.

Hi all

Long time since I have been on the board, but I am trying to find details of an EDWARDS family, especially ERNEST OSBORN, possibly born 1899 in Hackney or Poplar.

Father was Harry Brawn (Braun) Edwards, Mother, Annie Edwards, formerly Pardoe.

Hi all

This is a bit of longshot as usual, but does anyone know if there are any employee records for the MBC, Edmonton, and if so where?

Might just be a loose brick in a very big wall.

World War Two / Thomas Evans, WW2, Royal Artillery

I don't know if anyone can help, but I am trying to find any Service Details of THOMAS ASH EVANS, born Hackney, Islington or Poplar, in 1911.

In WW2, it seems he was stationed in Lancashire, probably Bolton or Blackpool and may have been attached to the Loyal East Lancs Regiment, maybe 1943,  and also at sometime, was manning AA guns at North Weald airfield, Essex.  From a photo, it seems he may have been in the Royal Artillery
