Family History Beginners Board / Day's & Spencer's from Andover

I am trying to trace various different arms of my family tree and have hit a bit of a wall.
I have managed to trace my paternal side of the family back to Thomas Day born c. 1740 - somewhere in Berkshire but have no details of his wife and any larger family.
He did have a son, also Thomas born c. 1755 who was born in Andover, Hampshire. This Thomas was married to a Nanny Spencer also born in Andover and they had at least one child named William, born in Andover.
If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
I was hoping that Nanny Spencer would be easy to find but have hit a brick wall. Perhaps "Nanny" is not her real name?
