Found both my late father & mother in 1939.  My question is, why my father born 1927 is visible but my mother, born 1924 is not  :-\

Technical Help / Viewing older Word documents.

Hi,
Have new computer which is using Windows 10.  I want to transfer over from my old computer all of my Word documents via USB (think they were done on Windows 7) but not sure if I can open/edit the older docs with Windows 10.
Also, the new computer came without Word/excel etc,  so, by using Microsoft online Word/Excel can I open/edit/save these older Word documents or do I have to buy/install the office app?

I've exhausted, Antiques Roadshow, Heir Hunters, Family Finders etc.  Just got Downton Abbey once a week now.  Need MORE  ;D

Technical Help / How to delete unwanted accounts from Android phone

When I got this Galaxy S111, I foolishly added my email account to it, now I'm getting tired of it beeping at me when an email comes in.  I really only use the phone for making & receiving calls & messages and I keep the WiFi turned off.  Need to know how I can get rid of all these unwanted internet things apart from the one I use, whatsapp,

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Dating a Georgian House

This is a Grade II listed Georgian house in South Street, Dorking, Surrey, once owned & occupied by my ancestors.  I know that this period covered 1714-1830 but would like to get a more accurate date.  The local authorities don't have records going back that far & my efforts to find any documentation has drawn a blank.  Can anyone help?

South Africa / Need some help with SA research

I'm trying to find out what happened to my grandfathers sister.  She was born, Winifred Bessie England, 1895, Chiswick Middlesex.  She married, Frederick C.V. Du Peneau, 1917 Croydon, Surrey.  Frederick's full name was, Vincente Vassa Du Peneau (French in origin?) They had two daughters who seem to have stayed & married in England.  The next piece of information is a passenger list entry for Winifred travelling from England to Durban SA in 1956.  Her country of residence is SA.
I can't find her original passage to SA nor her possible death in SA or that of her husband, Frederick.  With such a surname it's wide open for spelling mistakes & not knowing exactly in SA she lived is proving a problem.  Can anyone help?
