Hi,

Would be most grateful if anyone can improve these two photos of Ken - a fallen solider in the battle of Long-Tan in Vietnam.  The family have given me permission to post and would treasure anything that can be done with these photos as they are the only ones they have of Ken at this age.
thank-you,
Karen
PS I will post 2nd photo separately

Hi
this picture has been taken from a locket.  It is of Helen "Nellie" Venn born in Queensland Australia in 1885.
I would appreciate if someone fix her up a bit and also if anyone can have a guess at the date.  She married in 1907.

thank-you
Karen.

Hi

I have recently been sent a picture that is of my ancestor Charles Bernard McKenna born circa 1840 in Ireland.  I have in my possession another photo which has been restored by the lovely members here and dated to be around 1880 (this photo was taken in Warwick Queensland, Australia).  Are you able to date the first one?  To me it looked like a drawing, but the person who sent it said it is a photo that has been "drawn" over.

It interests me that he has what looks like tartan around his neck.  He went to Scotland from Ireland in the 1860s before emigrating to Australia in 1865.  Could this picture have been done in Scotland?

Unfortunately I do no have any originals and the scanned copies below all that I have.  I would like to know if the photos coud be of the same person as the second one is unidentified.

thank you for looking.
Karen.

Hi, this is a more recent (40 years - maybe not!)

Is someone able to remove the fingerprints.  I am giving as a gift to my brother - the one in the middle - who turns 40 on Thursday.
he is still friends with the other two boys - we used to call them the "terrible triplets"

Thank-you
Regards
Karen.

Hi

this might be a difficult one.  Its a picture of my husband's grandfather (he is on the left).  There are rust stains and other markings on the photo.  Will be grateful for any fixing up that might be able to be done,

Cheers,
Karen. :)

Hi,
I would love it if some could fix my Nana - esp her face where a crease goes right through the middle.

Thank-you in advance.
Karen.

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to date this photo of a man and I presume his son.  It was taken in Warwick, Queensland, Australia.  I don't have the original - this is just what I have been told.

I know it's hard to date males because of the clothing, but I hope someone may give me some sort of timeframe.

I would "like" it to be in the 1880's - is it possible??

Cheers,
Karen.

United States of America / McKenna McBride New Jersey
« on: Friday 16 April 10 22:27 BST (UK)  »
Hi

i am looking for McKenna family in New Jersey.  A Rose McKenna emigrated from Ireland (Belfast at the time - but the family is from Monaghan originally) in 1901.

On the ships register - she was going to a cousin John McKenna in Elizabeth New Jersey.

By the 1910 census Rose had married James McBride ( Irish born, who emigrated in 1894), lived in Paterson New Jersey and had a son Andrew aged 2.

James died sometime before 1915 when Rose's sister Mary came to live with her in New Jersey (not sure for how long).

Rose and Mary's mother was Catherine and she died in 1912 (in Ireland)

Sound familiar to anyone??
Cheers,
Karen (in Australia)
