Hi can any help me with the Geddes family from Dundee who stayed at 108 Rosebank street 1939 . Im not sure how long they lived at 108 Rosebank Street but im sure its at least 1934 . Any information would be appreciated . Many thanks rhona

Hi can anyone help me . Does anyone know of St Ronans home in Dundee for unmarried mother . St Ronans was in Dalkeith Road Dundee . Can anyone tell me how I could find out if a certain person stayed there, and what happened to the children that stayed at St Ronans without their mothers . Any info would be greatly appreciated . Hi , can anyone please help . I am looking for info on family members from the Gairloch area that were in World War 1 . William MacRobbie has all kinds of information on the Gairloch area and was a great help to me with my family tree . William and Ann Roots are intending to compile a book about local men and women in WW1 , they have already compiled a book on WW2 . If anyone has info I could pass on to William MacRobbie as he was really really helpful to me . Many thanks Rhona

Hi , can anyone please help me find information about my dads side of the family . My dad Ronald James Middleton Gunn was born 1934 Dundee , address on his birth certificate is St Ronans , Dalkeith Road,  Dundee . I have found out St Ronans was a home for unmarried mothers . My dad has no knowledge of Dundee or his mother or the first 5 years of his life and I woulk like to find out something for him . I do know his mother did not bring my dad up and I think my dad has a sister XXX Gunn born 1932 Lochee . The address on her birth certificate is 2 Liff Road Lochee but there were no Gunn`s at that address .
I did find out from Dundee council that my dad was registered at Hill street School Dundee 1939 and he stayed 108 Rosebank Street Dundee . There were no Gunn`s at 108 Rosebank Street . My dad was evacuated from Dundee 1939 to Banchory . I do have information from banchory 1939 onwards and this my dad remembers .
New information I have just received from Dundee council is that my dads mum Isabella MacDonald Gunn went to St Ronans 1st feb 1934 , Isabella came from c/o Middleton at 41 Cowgate Dundee . Isabella had my dad 13th feb 1934 and she left St Ronans 16th march 1934 . The reason why she left was GOT A SITUATION  (which could mean anything) . There is NO mention of 1st child XXX at St Ronans .
My dad left St Ronans 7th april 1934 and was fostered to GEDDES at 108 Rosebank Street Dundee this would have been a private agreement . Would this be a private agreement from St Ronans or my dads mum ? Could XXX have been fostered before Isabella went to the Middleton`s 41 Cowgate Dundee .

Can anyone give me info on   
1/ XXX Gunn born 1932 Lochee .
2/ The Geddes Family from 108 Rosebank Street Dundee .
3/ The Middleton`s from 41 Cowgate . Is my  2+2=5 when it comes to my dads middle names. Ronald JAMES MIDDLETON Gunn .
I hope this makes sense as I am a newdie to Rootchat any info or ideas would be very much appreciated . Thanks Rhona

Hi , can anyone please help me find information on some people from my family tree .

   1/    Johan Gunn born Laid,Gairloch 1876 I know she died 1963 . I would like to try and find out about Johan being at Oban please and the family she stayed and / or worked for . 1901/1902 I think she stayed at Argyle Square Oban with the Robertson family . I would also like to try and find out about Johan at Dornoch 1908 . I have no information atal about Johan being at Dornoch .
2/    Rodina Gunn born laid,Gairloch 1874 I think she died 1932 . I would like to try and find out about Rodina being a visitor at Clecthorpes Farm , Ploughmans House Fodderty . I also would like any information on Clecthorpes Farm please .
3/    Murdo Gunn born Laid ,Gairloch 1885 . The information I have on Murdo is that he died in Africa . I dont know how or why he went to Africa . I had tried the Commonwealth War Graves Commision where there is a Murdo Gunn but everything about him is unknown .
4/    Donald Gunn born Laid,Gairloch 1880 he died 1962 .  I think he Queensland Australia .
Any information or ideas where I could look for info would be very much appreciated . I hope this all make sense as this is my first time on Rootchat . Many thanks Rhona
