Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Woman's Hospital Nottingham
« on: Tuesday 18 October 11 20:09 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I am trying to find out what happened to my twin brothers who were born in the above hospital on the 7/8/1958 and died there the same day. Their names were Gary and Robert Davies.

I have had help from a kind man at the Wilford Hill Southern Cemetery & Crematorium and he has accertained that they are not on any of his records. I've also checked: Carlton, Gedling, Red Hill and Bulwell with no luck.

Mine and my sisters memories are, that my mother never got to hold or see the boys but my Dad
did and when asked if they wanted the hospital to organise the burial, they went with that.

I live in NZ so finding it hard with all the cemeteries in Nottingham and hospitals.

The Wilford Hill gentleman wondered if they may have been buried in the Hospital grounds but so far it looks like they didn't have a graveyard? Or that they may have been buried in a local Churchyard which is what I am stuck on. The other option was that a local funeral director may have done the burial but I'm stuck there on who to ask as well.

Has anyone got any more ideas on where to look.

I have sent off an email to the Univesity as I understand they have patent records that can be looked at after 100 years or maybe less if you ask them, we will see if I get a reply.

Thanks

Linda

Cheshire / Rake Lane + burial.look up, DAVIES + KEYWORTH
« on: Wednesday 07 July 10 05:26 BST (UK)  »
Hello Celia
I think I posted the first one wrong

Here I am again asking for a look up.
This is the information I have.

Robert Davies died around 5/7/1918 that was the date of his will being granted, so he would have died a bit earlier.

He requested to be "creamated and that his ashes be buried in Rake Lane Cemetary, Liscard?, in the same grave as his late cousin Harriet Keyworth"

I think he was COE. Donated a lot of money to Saint Lukes Church, Poulton

I have Harriet dying in 1916, Wallasey, Wirral, Cheshire WAL/68/34

Robert Davies AGE 76 WALLASEY, WIRRAL, CHESHIRE    WAL/71/12 UKBMD
age 76  Birkenhead Apr-June 1918 8a 612 FreeBMD

Robert's address in 1918 was "Hilbe?" Warren Drive, New Brighton which was also known as 55 Warren Drive in the 1911 census

Hopefully there will be some information on his plaque as I would have thought he would have a rather large headstone thingy. Any information would be gratefully recieved.

Kind regards

Linda

Cheshire Lookup Requests / DUNCAN - burial look up please
« on: Tuesday 01 June 10 01:51 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am trying to find an elderly aunt of my fathers who was known to him as Aunty Connie.

From my research so far I have not found any births of a Connie/Constance DUNCAN but I have found a Sarah Conway DUNCAN born in 1900 and in the 1901 and 1911 census, with the correct family.

I can not also find any Connie/Constance or Sarah Conway in the Free BMD deaths register from 1910 to 1983.

My sister visited her at 54 Warren Drive, Wallasey in between 1970 and 1974.
So I am presuming that she must have died after 1983 and may be buried in Wallasey somewhere, maybe.

What is the best way or best people to write to to locate this relative of mine?
Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance :)

Hello
I hope I'm posting this in the right place!

My relations are related to the Robert DAVIES who in 1925 had the Robert Davies Memorial Hall built in Mostyn.

So if any one else has this gentleman or his father, a Captain Robert Davies c1802 born in Amlwch, in there history, please let me know as I am always looking for more relations. :)

Anglesey Lookup Requests / Owens of Amlwch early 1800's
« on: Thursday 27 May 10 21:46 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I wonder if any one could help!

I am trying to find a relationship between a Margaret OWENS born c1808 in Amlwch and an Owen OWENS born c1811 in Amlwch.

I am hoping that they would be brother and sister, as I have found the son of Margaret (Robert DAVIES)in 1911 living with his cousin (Harriett KEYWORTH)

I have traced Harriett's family back to the Owen OWENS

I know this is in the pre census era so it makes it harder.
I have looked on the Amlwch web site but have only found the death of Owen Owens, as I know Margaret Davies nee Owens is buried in Whitford.

Thanks for any help :)
