I am as sure as I can be, given how common the names are in the area, that I descend from John Rose and Mary Adams who married at St Mary's, Aylesbury on 6 Sep 1744.  Mary was shown as 'of Waddesdon' and the marriage was by licence.  I have a number of DNA matches that appear to link back to this couple.

I believe Mary was the daughter of William and Mary baptised 11 Aug 1725 at Waddeson but there is another Mary Adams who marries Christopher Watson in Waddesdon on 23 Nov 1758 so she might not be.

I have another DNA match whose tree traces back to Joseph Rose born 1750 Cuddington who I believe is a son of John Rose and Mary Adams.  I have no other details about Joseph other than a possible death in 1796 in Upper Winchendon but my DNA match has him marrying Sarah Read in Upper Winchendon in 1775 and appears to link to me via Joseph and Sarah's son Joseph apparently baptised 31 March 1779 Upper Winchendon.

I would be very grateful for any information about these families, as other than various family trees, I cannot find any records for them online.

I have 8 DNA matches on Ancestry that thrulines suggests descend from Jane Head born 1846 Bath, daughter of Charles Head and Mary Ann Bowler.  One of the DNA matches also matches with me on My Heritage one is a 32cm match, two 28cm, 3 14cm, one 10cm (the one who also matches on My Heritage) and the other is 6cm.  So most look like 'good' matches.

Most also have trees that trace back to Marie Jane Douglas born 1866 Landsborough, Victoria, Australia and have her as the daughter of Sarah Jane/Jane Head born c 1846.  One claims her as the daughter of my ancestors Charles Head and Mary Ann Bowler who did, indeed, have a daughter Jane born 1846 Bath, Somerset, UK who I believe emigrated to Australia in 1866.  I say believe because there are two Jane Head's born 1846 in Bath, but I believe the other one, daughter of Henry married John Sparks and remained in the UK. Both appear to have a mother whose maiden name was Bowler but so far I have not found a baptism for Jane d/o Henry nor can I find her in the census.

I will try and investigate this further myself but would be grateful for any help as I would love to establish a link but most of the trees I can find on Ancestry seem to show that Mary Ann Douglas is a bit of an enigma.  Messages to the other researchers have, so far, not elicited a reply.

Patricia J Harding was born in Cardiff on 6th December 1926. Her brothers were Peter Charles Harding  Donald Harding, Clifford Raymond Harding, who was known as Raymond, and John Harding. Patricia disappeared in Singapore or Australia in the 1950s. Her last known address was in Macleay Street, Potts Point Sydney Australia and she worked as an Air Hostess for Quantas Airlines.

I and other members of the family have made many attempts to find out what happened to her.

If anyone can find any further information it would be much appreciated.

Can't find them in 1881  any help appreciated in finding them

The only trace I can find is Eliza in 1881 when she is a widow with children, born 1826 Woking
John age 29  born 1852 Woking so possibly William's or Eliza's son by a previous marriage
George Hill age   21 born Pyrford
Henry Hill age   17 born Pyrford born 1863 mmn Harding per GRO
Lydia Hill   age 14 born Pyrford
Frederick Hill   age 11 born Pyrford


This leaves me with the following possible children of John and Mary or William and Eliza mmn Harding who I am trying to sort out, I am also trying to find out more about William

Any help appreciated.

I am looking for the parents of Ann Brickston who married James Skilling in 1785 in Windlesham.

DNA matches indicate links to several people who appear to link back to Sarah Brickstone daughter of John and Ann bp 1776 Dogmersfield.

Can anyone give me any further details of the Brickston family of Dogmersfield.  Any help very gratefully received; I have been looking for Ann's parents for many years.
