Australia / Victorian Birth & Death locations for, MUND, ECA & PARK
« on: Monday 17 February 14 03:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a number of Victorian birth registrations with the place of birth as MUND and some Victorian death registrations with ECA and PARK.

MUND, ECA & PARK are abbreviations for registration districts but I don't know where, thought ECA might be Echuca.

Any ideas please

Australia / Victorian Birth Registration Place
« on: Friday 12 July 13 07:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a 2 Doodson brothers who married 2 Gardiner/Gardener sisters in 1853 & 1856 in Sydney and ventured to Victoria from Sydney for a few years in late 1850s before going back to NSW.

There were a few births and a couple of deaths registered in Victoria during their stay but I don't know where a couple of the birthplace abbreviations relate to.

BEE and B'worth would probably mean BEECHWORTH but I need help with the following birth places.

SYDNEY FLA
W'SHED

Any ideas please.

Huntingdonshire / Person to be from one village to another in 1843 query.
« on: Thursday 30 August 12 03:57 BST (UK)  »
Hi from Australia,

I have a query re a record that I found on the Cambridgeshire County Council CALM Stilton Parish Church archive collection reference (HP83/13/3/45) which refers to "Robert Busby to be removed from Benefield, Northamptonshire to Stilton", 9th January 1843.

I haven't been in contact with the Council as yet to get a copy of the archived document but it looks like Robert might have been in some sort of trouble to have been removed form Benefield to Stilton.

I fomd Robert on the 1841 Census at Benefield.

Has anyone have any clues to what the removal might mean.
