World War One / William John Hopkins Barber Army Service Record Help Please

I am trying to determine my Gt G'Fathers' Army Service Record but I am having some difficulties.
He lived in Canterbury Kent and I believe was part of The Buffs and then the Rifle Brigade around 1919.
I have been told that he served in India and also 'stood guard at the Taj Mahal?'.
He was born 4 February 1876 and was known as 'Jack'.
Any information gratefully received, Thank you.

Would be grateful of any information relating to H. E. Burbridge deserting in 1899/1900 from Portsea and reasons for this. Did he ever serve his 12month prison sentence? Thanks

Trying to check out parentage details of Henryk Piotrowski born Lodz Poland 5 May 1922. Married Alice Butcher Ipswich Suffolk in 1950.
Parents mentioned as Stefania Redko and Boleslaw Piotrowski both born circa 1900. Any idea how to trace online? Cant find anything on Ancestry or LDS?

Born circa 1850 Worth or Sandwich Kent to Richard and Mary Burbridge
Found in Manningham in the 1871 Census and in the Manchester Workhouse records.
I think I have located her as emigrating and arriving in New York 10 June 1875 from Liverpool on Ship Algeria - named Miriam Berbridge.

Miriam was a witness at her sister's marriage to Alice Ebenezer Burbridge toWilliam Fisher Breeze 1870 Barton Upon Irwell.  I cannot locate these relatives either? I wondered whether they all emigrated?

I have been unable to trace Miriam or Alice/William beyond this and wonder whether anyone can help please? Thank you

Looking for details/info regarding Edward Burbridge, birth stated as 3rd June 1857 according to Met Police Records - Ash Kent. However, death cert. indicated that he was older (94, not 90 as thought)and therefore born 1852. Second marriage to Florence Dudley in 1924 gave his father's name as Richard Burbridge - Landowner (deceased). Some confusion around Ash ( next Ridley or Sandwich); Edward known to have married Esther (around 1874)- who was from Southborough, Kent, born 1857. Edward and Esther had relatives around Tudley. Son called Horace born 1875 - Tudley. Edward was in the Metropolitan Police from 1881-1906 - had a large family. Can only locate Edward on 1881/91/01 Census, not 1861/71. Census of 1881 states his birth as Sandwich / though exhaustive research cannot locate him there, although an extended Burbridge family resided there, but no mention of Edward. I cannot locate/confirm Edward's birth, strands of info, but unable to substantiate. Any help gratefully received - now at a loss.
