Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Josephine & Molly Dunne, Ireland 1953
« on: Wednesday 02 December 20 14:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi. Some people here did a lovely job last week on Josephine and her dog. Wonder if Josephine and her sister could be cleaned up a little (and the background could do with a little work as well!!!)
Thanks. Culbaire

Wexford / Rev William B Quinn
« on: Friday 19 August 16 17:48 BST (UK)  »
There is a brass plate in St Aidanís Cathedral, Enniscorthy inscribed:
ĎIn memory of Rev W.B.Quin, C.S.Sp. who died Feb 2nd 1890í. A second brass plate gives details of John Quinn died Jan 18th 1882 and of Sarah his wife who died October 24th 1880. The baptismal register of St Aidanís lists the baptism of a William to John Quinn and Sally Askins on 21/1/1858. Marriage register shows them married on Feb 12th 1850. I have come across another plate which says he was ordained on October 18th 1883.
I am unable to find Williamís death in Irish records so he may have died overseas. He is not mentioned in Fr Gahanís book the Secular Priests of the Diocese of Ferns.
I am searching for details of where William was ordained, where he died and where he is buried.
Thanks

Wexford / "Moheady Mills"
« on: Thursday 09 July 15 23:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi. Can anyone suggest a possible location for sounds like "Moheady Mills" in Co Wexford. I know of Saltmills, Randalls Mills and Mocurry Mills but nothing that sounds like Moheady. No townland that I can find in Co Wexford from any of the 2008 publication of Wexford Library, census of 1901/1911 or Griffiths Valuation. Family associated with it were Fitzpatricks. Thanks.

I am using family tree maker version 8.0. When I try to merge two individuals, I get a window which has the things that are the same and then a second column which lists the differences and where I am supposed to click the buttons as to which particular item I wish to keep. I cant find any buttons. Any suggestions. Culbaire

Ireland / Family Search Query
« on: Thursday 16 December 10 23:37 GMT (UK)  »
Hi. When using the family search record search (pilot) and I get a fairly large number of possiblities, sometimes I am able to get to the second or more pages because the option is at the bottom, at other times its not. Extending the page to its maximum doesnt seem to do anything?Culbaire
