This is a photo on a postcard.  Unfortunately there is no message to help work out who he may be.  I thought it might be from WW1
Sorry about the low res but wondered if anyone might at least point me in the right direction?

Many thanks!

Hi Soulsister

Thanks for your kind offer.

Please could you see if there is anything for CAVILL (could be CAVIL, CAVILLE)?

Thanks

Lancashire / "Chorlton & Wilbraham" newspaper
« on: Friday 26 October 07 13:55 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know of a newspaper called the "Chorlton & Wilbraham" or similar?  Published around the 20s & 30s?  My Dad (born Chorlton in 1920) has been talking about it lately!

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Baptism lookup 1766 - Appleby parish - CAVILL
« on: Friday 26 October 07 13:22 BST (UK)  »
Would some kind person be able to look up the parish register entry for this baptism:
04 Mar 1764   Appleby, Lincoln, England
  Father:  GEORGE CAVILL    Mother:  MAGARET
Extracted christening record  Batch No.:  C026561

There was a marriage for a George Cavill to a Margaret Marshall 25.1.1756 in Appleby so there may be other baptisms too.

Thank you!

Technical Help / Living Room PC
« on: Friday 29 June 07 13:38 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone have one of these?  I've seen them advertised lately.  It's a sort of PC/TV combined with a Freeview box.
Are they any good?
Thanks
Diana
