Ireland / Compensation commission 1920's help required
« on: Monday 27 September 21 20:08 BST (UK)  »
Can someone please advise me where go search for details of a reported award granted and perhaps turned down?

I'm looking for help to try to separate war records of two men named J Hawkes, served with 2RMF in WW1, one was pte. John Hawkes 6576 attested 1912 and was medically discharged 1915 partial deafness and with what is now known as PTSD, I have no information on the other but to say they were both possibly from Co. Cork Ireland and possible false newspaper reports lead to the death of one. I'm particularly interested to find out if the second John Hawkes survived the war and what rank he had etc.
Thanks J.
