Hi I'm looking for some one to do a look up in the Fladbury parish registers, on William Wells mentioned in the 1851 Census as born in Fladbury aged 69 so was born about 1782. Would be most interested to see if any one can pull out any information on William and his parents!??

Many thanks,
Sincerely,
Stephen Saffin.

Can any one build up his ancestors tree, at all, from the Hanbury parish registers?? Apparently he lived in Styleses, Hanbury, with parents William Wells and Hannah (Maiden name not known) perhaps Styleses is a cottage or farm name??

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Ellen Smith
« on: Thursday 28 February 13 20:10 GMT (UK)  »
Can any one offer any information on a relative we have stumbled across in our family history research?
Our relative is Ellen Elizabeth Smith born out of wedlock in 1885 in Oxford, and her mother Elizabeth Smith married William Jeenes Miles, and they lived in 36 Shirley Road, Kings Norton, according to the 1911 Census.
My wife's Grandmother Laura Wells stayed with them when she lost her parents, and together Ellen and Laura worked at Gest Keen and Nettlefolds as Screw Sorters. Laura married Percy Gibbs who was Ellen's cousin, son of Jane Smith sister to Elizabeth.
Laura and Percy later lived at Cotteridge Rd.
Jane and Elizabeth's father was William Smith parish Clerk to Saintbury in the Cotswolds, and written about by author Algernon Gissing in 'The Footpath-Way in Gloucestershire'. I have a photo of Laura and Ellen as young girls and if I knew how to upload it to you I would, we would love to know what happend to Ellen, if she married, or had children.
If you have any information relating to Ellen would you kindly get in touch.
Sincerely,
Stephen Saffin.
