Census and Resource Discussion / 1921 Query
« on: Monday 25 March 24 06:33 GMT (UK)  »
I have found a 6 year old child living with her "adoptive" parents in the 1921 census. She is enumerated as being the couple's daughter, with their surname but her middle name is the surname of her biological mother - could this indicate that the "adoptive" parents knew the biological mother of the child? or maybe there is another explanation?
Also, the child is enumerated as  parents both alive. Would this mean that both the biological parents are alive or that both the "adoptive" parents are alive?

« on: Tuesday 18 January 22 07:08 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find who was living at 36 Carter Street Toxteth Park Liverpool in 1914 and 1915.

Also who else was living at 1 Ampthill Road Aigburth Liverpool in 1914 and 1915, beside Henry Benson, Caroline Augusta Benson and William Kitchin Benson.

I am specifically interested in the years 1914 and 1915 only for both addresses.

Thank you

Isle of Man / Thomas GRAHAM Baptism
« on: Saturday 04 December 21 06:07 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to find a baptism for Thomas Graham born abt 1857 Douglas Isle of Man died 1922 Douglas IOM with parents Thomas Graham (born abt 1834 County Down Northern Ireland died 1900 Douglas IOM) and Ann Mooney born abt. 1832 County Down N. Ireland. Thomas was living in Douglas with his parents and siblings in the 1861 and 1871 Isle of Man censuses. Five of his six siblings were baptised in Douglas IOM. I am unable to find a baptism for his sister Mary Anne b abt 1853 Douglas either.
Thomas married Susannah Roberts (b. abt 1859 Denbighshire Wales d.1946 Douglas IOM) in 1879 at Llanrwst Denbighshire Wales and they had seven children all born Douglas IOM.
All help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a marriage for:
William Blake born abt. 1806 died Aug 1892 Kensington London and Jane born abt. 1821 Walton Surrey and died Feb 1892 Kensington.

Also I am unable to find them in 1841, 1871 nor 1891 censuses.
In 1851, 1861 and 1881 they are living at 9 Sutton Street, St Barnabus, Kensington. William's occupation was Tallow Chandler.

The eldest child in 1851 was Henry born abt. 1837 which would indicate that perhaps Jane (b 1821) is too young to be his mother.
The next child was Mary born abt. 1840 then
Alfred b. abt. 1844,
John b. abt. 1846,
George A b. abt. 1848
Amy E b. abt. 1850 (7 months old)
All born Kensington London.

Thank you in advance
