London and Middlesex / Coard
« on: Friday 16 August 13 17:31 BST (UK)  »
Hello,  can anybody help me with the coard family?   This is part of my husband's family, I have definitely got back to Hugh Coard who was listed in post office directory for 1829 as a corkcutter at 3 St. Thomas Street London who married Elizabeth Judith Pears 6th Feb 1818 Rotherhithe (Pallot) he was born approx. 1775 and died 9th July 1847.  I think he had 5 children  Elizabeth, George, Henry James, William and Frederick.  I am now stuck, I am looking for the parents of Hugh I know they a lived  in the area  of St Olave Southwark/Bermondsey and also  St. John Horselydown Bermondsey.  I can find a Hugh Coward but I am not sure if he is the same person. If anyone knows anything about this family it would be greatly appreciated :)

Suffolk / COCKERELL/BLOMVYLE Families
« on: Saturday 16 July 11 16:54 BST (UK)  »
Hello
Can anyone help me, I am trying to find any information about the Cockerell family of Suffolk , particularly Isabel who married Robert Blomville (Blomvyle) and was niece to Thomas Cockerell who died somewhere between 1460-1480.  I know it is not much go to on but I am researching the Blomvyle (Bloomfield) family and we have come to a full stop with our branch of the family.  There appears to be two different Roberts  around the same time and we need to find out which one married Isabell, so if not the right one we can discount this information. I know it is a longshot but if anyone has any information at all even about which part of Suffolk they came from I would be very pleased to hear from you  Gayla :)

Europe / FRANCE: re Oudots
« on: Friday 24 June 11 16:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Back again regarding  Jean Jacques Oudot born in France died in London (1803approx-1859) Married Mary Flowett (Pallot) 1835 at St. Martins in the Fields London.Certificate is very poor and hard to make out but does not give any information as to where he was born.  I have looked into naturalisation records but unfortunately can find none for the Oudots.  He would have needed to go through this process as he voted in 1840.  I have found another Oudot though Jan Jacques Oudot in a burial record.  He was buried in the same grave as Jean Jacques Oudot but in 1836 aged 57.  He was living in London when he died but was born in I think Chalon France (not very clear). I am making the presumption that he may have been the father of Jean Jacques as this is a family grave with 7 Oudots buried there, and he seems to have been the first. The others are all known family members.  I have tried some online French sites but have had no luck,  I have found a silversmith called Jean Jacque Yves Oudot but can find no information about him.  So if anybody can help with any information or suggestions on any of the above would be very pleased to hear from you  Gayla

Europe / FRANCE: Oudot
« on: Thursday 09 December 10 17:58 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, can anyone help me? I have managed to take this part of my family back to 1835 when Jean Jacque Oudot married Mary Flowett on June 8th, but cannot find him prior to that. He died in 1859 in England.  I think he was born about 1803 in France. He appears on several passenger ship lists around the  time of his marriage, but none say where he came from.  I have been told it could be the Jura area but that could just be guess work, due to the amount of Oudot's in that area.  His marriage (Pallot) appears to list the name Jacque Oudot, frere or pere after it, cannot be ssure,  it is very faint and hard to read.  Any help would be appreciated.
