Hi

Would like a look up if any one has them on CD (Inverell Cemetery – New General Section – Transcriptions and Burial Register 1968-2000), to check to see if Alfred Baker who died in August 1985 is listed. His death certificate says he died in Quirindi Hospital but was buried at New General Cemetery Inverell (3 hours away). His wife died in 1984 (don't have death certificate).

I have looked at http://austcemindex.com/cemetery?cemid=772 but that is an incomplete transcription.

Hi

I have today received the marriage for John Todd & Ann Maria Goulden. It shows Ann’s father as Thomas Goulden – Carpenter they were married at Westminster St Margarets Middlesex in 1840 **note have information on John, so am looking for Ann**

One of the witnesses is a Thomas Edward Goulden.

I have done a search for Ann’s birth (according to the 1841, 1851 & 1861 census she was born in Middlesex, England around 1818). I haven’t been able to find a baptism on Ancestry, family search or freereg for Ann as yet.

What I did find though on Ancestry (Bishop's Transcripts)

Thomas Edward Goulden Baptism 1815 at St Margaret's Westminster – father listed as Carpenter. Mother Ann

Eliza baptism 1827 at St John the Evangelist – father listed as builder. Mother Ann

Mary baptism 1830 at St John the Evangelist – father listed as carpenter & builder. Mother Ann

George baptism 1824 at St John the Evangelist - (surname listed as Goolden) but the image clearly says Goulden. Father listed as builder. Mother Ann

So based on the above, could it that I have found Ann Maria's parents and some of her siblings?

There is also a marriage for a Thomas Goulden to a Ann Blackburn in 1807 at Old Church,Saint Pancras,London,England. Not sure if that would be the correct one though.

Sandra

Durham / Christopher Todd - Durham died 1850 St Brandon
« on: Monday 19 December 16 21:13 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I am trying to work out the children of Christopher Todd & Eleanor Hart, who were married in 1779. Refer previous post on their son George Todd
I have been reviewing all of the trees on ancestry and they all basically have the same information but I am wondering why many of the trees have two ‘Christopher’s being born to Christopher & Eleanor:

•   Elizabeth Hart 1778–1853
•   Robert Todd 1780–1837
•   Christopher Todd 1782–1847
•   Eleanor Todd 1784–1848
•   Mary Todd 1787–
•   William Todd 1789–
•   Ann Todd 1791–
•   Joseph Todd 1793–1797
•   George Todd 1797–1872
•   Christopher 1803-1850

This can’t be accurate as from what I can tell, they only had son named Christopher (born 1782 and died 1847).

To verify the children of Christopher & Eleanor’s children, I’ve been going through Family Search, FreeReg & Durham Records on line to find their baptism and marriages myself along with the children of those marriages (some of the trees have dates, some don’t).

According to the photo on find my graves, the Christopher listed is aged 52 (making him born 1798), but the headstone says ‘son & brother’ of the above, this would indicate to me that he is the son of Robert and brother to the three females listed

The trees on Ancestry for Robert Todd & Isabella Apedale, all have them having a different son named Christopher being born in 1803 and no death date.

•   Elizabeth Todd 1802–
•   Christopher Todd 1803
•   Ann Todd 1805–
•   Eleanor Todd 1808–1849
•   Hannah Todd 1813-1835
•   Margaret Todd 1810–
•   Mary Todd 1820–1823

Am I right in thinking that the Christopher on the headstone is this Christopher (born 1803) and that age on the headstone is not accurate? I wrote to a few people to ask to clarify why there were two Christopher’s being the son of Christopher & Eleanor but only got one reply with ‘I’ve taken the information from other trees’.

Appreciate thoughts:

Thanks

Hi

I am looking for any information or connections to the family of George Todd & Ann Beecroft of Durham. George & Ann were married in 1815 at Bishop- Wearmouth, Durham, England.

What I'd like is to know of any other children George & Ann had and their death dates if possible. Someone contacted me via Ancestry a few weeks ago, who suggested that George Married twice.

I know of only one son that they had:

John Todd - born 1817 - died 1897 (he moved to Middlesex where he became an builder and from what I gather rather rich). John being the 2x Great Grandfather of my brother in law.

I have also been led to Believe that George was also a builder and also moved to Middlesex.
I think the below is possibly George's birth:

Name:
George Todd
Birth Date:1782
Event Type: Baptism
Father: John Todd
Mother:Isabella Todd
Baptism Date: 28 Jun 1782
Baptism Place: Sunderland, Durham, England

I have found a will for a George Todd esquire (from 1876 who drowned in the River Thames) from Handover Square (effects totally under £25,000. Not sure if this George Todd is the one I am looking for or a different man.

The Common Room / GRO death search index help
« on: Monday 28 November 16 18:59 GMT (UK)  »
Can someone please see if they can find this death in the GRO index

Richer    Matilda H H E M    80    Edmonton    3a   880

I found this in the FreeBdmUk but can't find it in the GRO index

I've tried just using last name and similar sounding and phonetic and exact but it's not coming up. There is another Matilda Richer who died in 1924 but that is not the correct one

Thanks

Australia / NSW - Police Gazettes - search for case - Clara Quinn
« on: Monday 18 April 16 00:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi

We are looking for information on a court case that would have occurred during the mid-1920's in New South Wales.

My nephews grandmother was 'raped' when she was 15/16 and this did go to court. The man in question got away with it as his father was a police officer.

We do not have information on the man that did this (ie: his name). I have done a search in Trove using her name (Clara Quinn) but nothing seems to come up. I have also done a search on the police gazettes on Ancestry without any luck. Clara was living around Auburn/Lidcombe at the time.

Without having his name what search criteria could we use?  Clara ended up having a baby boy (which she kept).
