Armed Forces / Royal Marines - abt 1877
« on: Sunday 15 November 20 17:31 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, could anyone point me in a good direction please..
I am looking for any military records for: William Smith/Smyth
Believe he as born Abt 1843 in chicheley, Bucks. I have him on 1851 Census as 7 yrs old.
He joined RMs and next I finh him is 20 jul 1876 at his marriage in Kingstown, Dublin.
And again in 1877 at Gosport for the birth of his first Daughter.
Then I have a gap untill he turns up living in Kingstown, Co Dublin.

I have searched TNA Royal Marine military records but I cant find him there..
I also cant find 1881 Census for RM barracks in Gosport..

Anyone any ideas..
Thanks in advance
Peter
