Angus (Forfarshire) / Fergusson/Norrie/Forbes

Hi all,

I am looking for any info on my ancestors George M Fergusson (b 1829) who married Mary Norrie-Forbes in Dundee I believe in 1857.
Mary`s parents were John Norrie and Jane Forbes but I have no info on them whatsoever.

I know George and Mary had a daughter Mary also in 1863.

Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark / Grant/Pearce/Baker

Hi all, I`m just looking for any info at all on my gg grandad Alexander Grant who married Annie Pearce in Guernsey in 1879. As far as I know Alexander was from Dundee and don`t know why he went to Guernsey.
I believe Annie`s parents were Robert Pearce and Sarah Ann Baker but I have no info on them at all.

Any help is much appreciated

Just wondering if anyone on here would have any old photos of Nicolls lemonade factories in Dundee?!?!
This would be from 1860-1923 approx. They were in Scott Street and Taits Lane.

Fife / Aerated water and lemonade factory in Cupar

Hello

I wonder if anyone is aware of, or has any information on an aerated water manufacturer and/or lemonade factory that was in Cupar. My ggg grandfather also had factories in Dundee, which I managed to locate and, also in Forfar. It may have been called Nicolls but not 100% certain. I am not sure when he bought the factory but he sold it in 1880. Thanks for any assistance.....

Canada / Peter Borsch death date

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.... looking for death details for my gggrandfather Peter Borsch who died in Toronto approximately 1970-1975. He was born in Galicia in late 1890s. His names have changed spelling also, ranging from Piotr Borszcz to Pete Borsk. He was married to Dorothy Charlotte Smithers.

Armed Forces / William Brown and Bridget Elliott

I`m looking for some info please. My ggg grandmother was born in 1810 to her parents William Brown and Bridget Elliott on a military base somewhere in Spain. Her name is Catherine Brown. I have details on her children and life etc but absolutely nothing on her parents. I dont know anything about when they went across to Spain or when they returned. I know that Bridget returned to Scotland because she died in Edinburgh and that is where her daughter married her husband too. I assume they were originally from Edinburgh before going to Spain..... I dont know whether William died in Spain or returned with Bridget. No idea either what regiment he was in. Bridget died in 1852 and Catherine died in 1898 in Dundee.
Any assistance is much appreciated....

Hi there,

This may be a silly question but I am currently researching my family tree, my ancestors come from various areas of olden day Galicia. These areas are no longer Austrian or Polish but now part of Ukraine. Should I be tracing the records in Ukraine or should it be the country of birth? I hope this makes sense!!!!

Aberdeenshire / Davidson

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone out there has any information on John Davidson and Joan Ogston who married in Peterhead in November 1850. I have no material on their parents at all. I also know that John and Joan had a son James (my great grandfather) but unsure if James had any siblings. Apparently there is a link with the whaling industry and James may have died at sea because there is limited information on his death it seems. Any information would be much appreciated.
