I am trying to determine if the FindAGrave entry for Carrie BROOKS, 1881 - 1927, at Union Cemetery, Brockton, is hers. Her date of death, 27 March 1927, comes from a U.S. Directory for Taunton which clearly states that date and the entry also includes her husband, Walter Brooks' name.
Confusing the issue is my own transcription of an interment card stating: "BROOKS, Carrie; Lot No. 223B; Sec. P; Grave No. 5. Age: 42 Years, 2 months, 15 days. Place of Death: Taunton, Mass; Date of Death: 27 March 1927; Undertaker, Milton H. Farley; Interred, Taunton, Mass. Single grave.
Unfortunately I do not have the original image and cannot find it again as I'm not sure where I originally got it. Perhaps I transcribed the age at death incorrectly because this age at death leads you to a birth around 1885 which is about 5 years out for "my" Carrie. ... yet the date of death on this card indicates it should be the same person. Also, it states she was buried at Taunton (not Brockton)......so I am quite unsure and confused.
My "Carrie" would have been buried alone since her husband, Walter, returned to Prince Edward Island and married again. Any thoughts most appreciated.
