A few years ago I went up there to see if I could see a relatives headstone. I knew they had been stacked up against the wall so I tried my hardest to find the names I wanted.

Oliver Courtice (married ? Buckney from Angle) Oliver came from Devonport and worked at Pem Dock Dockyard.

I don't suppose he is on your list?

Thanks  :)

As they use to say (not any more thank goodness). Anyone know any valid reasons why a couple in the early part of the 20th century should not have got married?

My gran was quite a religious woman yet her and my grandfather (he died before I was born) never married. She wore a wedding ring but it wasn't real gold.

My mother had two brothers and one sister I think my late uncle must have known as many many years ago when I was about to start researching my family tree for the first time he asked me not to and implied that my gran and granddad had a 'highland wedding' ?????

Thanks
