Wiltshire / 7 South St Lookup request if poss!

Hi,

I am trying to establish who is registered on the census as living at 7 South Street, Gillingham, Wiltshire in the 1931 census. I know it's along shot, but is it possible that some kind soul would know where to look or look for me for this information?

US Lookup Requests / Carl Maher

I hope SKS can help me out here...I have a Cornelious & Mary Maher in the US during the early part of the 20th Cenury..you great people helped me with lots of information on them. I have now made a new lead....I believe that Cornelious' son named either Carl or Karl came back to the UK during WW2 as a serviceman after the US commited to the war....it is said that he was 21 to 25 years of age. Can someone please look to see if a Carl or Karl Maher was born between 1910-1925 in MA to a Cornelious & Mary Maher?

Galway / MAHER puzzle

Hi all,

On the Uk census returns my Michael Maher (bC1841)has his birthplace as Co. Waterford, Ireland, on the death register for his son who died in the US, the Father (i.e Michael)'s place of birth is listed as Connaught, Co. Galway. Obvioulsy one of these is wrong, can someone enlighten me as to how I can prove which one to believe?

I have a marriage cert from 1839 for a Thomas Rothwell marrying an Elizabeth Hoyle. Thomas' Father is listed as Richard Rothwell (profession 'Bread Baker'). They are from what looks like 'Holt Mill in Rossendale'.

Could someone with access to the Parish Registers for Rossendale please tell me is there is a birth of a Thomas to a Richard Rothwell, or even if there is any other info on Richard?

Marriage took place at St Stephens Church, Rochdale on 8/11/1851
