Suffolk Completed Lookup Requests / Dunwich - Radio 4 - Thurs Oct 13th - 11:30am

After the flood

Programme featuring stories of hearing drowned bells tolling beneath the sea including those at Dunwich.  Once a major East Anglian port but In 1286 a large storm swept much of the town into the sea.  Many locals have claimed to have heard the drowned church bells ever since.

Whimsical but probably worth a listen.

The modern Borough of Dacorum (Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Tring & Kings Langley) roughly covers the geographical area of the old Dacorum Hundred.

Technical Help / Installing NBI
« on: Thursday 28 April 11 14:48 BST (UK)  »
When we changed to XP, I didn't bother re-installing my first edition of the NBI.  I now would like to but I have lost the instructions!

Any advice please?

Many thanks
Rick :)

Just a gentle reminder to use RootsChat's URL shrinker when posting a long link.  Otherwise the thread becomes distorted and I have to shrink them! :'(

Although Barnet is now classed as Middlesex it was part of Hertfordshire until 1965.  I should probably clarify this as follows.

East and Chipping (High) Barnet - Hertfordshire until 1965
Friern Barnet - Always in Middx

Thanks to Galium for the link.
