Just picked up a probate for William Morton Hall died 1948 Parkview, Johannesburg

What does ‘married out of community of property” mean ? To Lily Gladys Jubilee Hall ne Gibbans???

Presuming that this is his second marriage, though not found the first one as yet

I am trying  to find out the full name of a Miss Scarth who according to the Yorkshire Evening News July 1914 was running apartments at Norwood House, 30 Pedder Street, Morecambe. I do know that Scarth’s certainly lived in Morecambe at one time.

It is possible that she is Jane Elizabeth Scarth b Morley 1876 died 1957 d of Joseph and Sarah  it’s of whom died in that area

Is there any possibly of checking the occupants of that address please ?

Cork / Possible burial Cork

Probably very unlikely but looking for a burial for Maud Elizabeth Lumb (lamb) who died in the district hospital Cork December 21 1918. Death registered January 10th 1919.

When I say unlikely she was living in Bournemouth England so may  have been on holiday at the time. So it could be her body was returned home.

Looking for any pictures of the ‘engine room’ which was used for electric power to the pier. A tree member took his own life in there in May 1905

On the baptism July 20 1903 Margaret daughter of Richard Newman and Margaret Bethell there is an annotation which seems (if I have read it right) that she married 26 December 1927 to a chap ( John ? ) H Donavan at St Gerard’s . I can’t readily see a GRO marriage listing for thesis

Perhaps  another set to eyes

Looking at a death certificate and the hospital is the place of death in 1945  Would this be where perhaps ‘war wounded’ would be treated. The cause of death doesn’t confirm a war wound but was after an operation so may have had complications from one. The poor chap has a war grave.
