Scotland / Archibald James Bell c1876/7, Workington, Cumb.

My first venture into Scotland!
I hope someone can help with Archibald James Bell, born c1876/7 Workington.
Last seen in England on the 1901 census @ RG13/4884 Folio 99 Page 4 in Workington , with parents James and Catherine E. plus two brothers.
Archibald James is shown as 'Married', but no wife is shown with him - we are led to believe that 'Archie' married a Marion Smith Pithie sometime between c1895-1899, but I cant see her in 1901 either, suspect she has Scottish origins.
None of the family show up in England 1911 census, and by then there should be a son Alexander Purvis Bell c1909.
I suspect they are in Scotland somewhere
Also a mooted daughter Mae born c1898 doesnt figure anywhere.
The family later settle in the Barrow in Furness area, where Alex P dies in 1979. The name 'Marion Smith' is propagated in the family in the 1930s.
Grateful for any help, as I'm not familiar with Scottish resources / searching.
