Lancashire Lookup Requests / Thomas Hadfield death
« on: Wednesday 10 October 12 13:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Could anybody please help me find a death date for Thomas Hadfield, my ggg grandfather, who died between 1851 and 1861.
In the 1851 census he is shown as being a widowed 52 year old bricksetter living at 32 Cookson Street, New Cross, St. Philips, Manchester with his daughters Elizabeth, Emma, and his son William, he also had another daughter Ann.
Hadfield seems to be a common name in Lancs and a search on Freecen BMD threw up loads of possibilities but without much information.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you, Kevan.

He was a weaver in Manchester and he died between the 1851 and 1861 census.
In the 1851 census he is shown as 59 years old living at 10 Crossleys buildings, St. Georges, Manchester with his wife Mary and daughters Elizabeth and Susannah, he also had a son, Thomas Henry.
    I've located 4 possible records :

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Ann Hadfield
« on: Saturday 17 December 11 20:29 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Can anybody help please, i'm trying to discover the surname of Ann Hadfields mother.
Ann is my gg grandmother and was born 1820ish in Droylsden, lancs.
She was married to Thomas Henry Grimshaw, (born 1816ish), a cotton spinner from Manchester.
Her parents might be Thomas Hadfield, (born 1799ish), a brick setter from Droylsden and Betty,(Elizabeth?born 1803ish), maybe from Newton Heath.
If this is the family they appear in 1841 census in Flitcroft Street, Manchester.
Any help would be much appreciated,
                                         Kevan. :)
