Thanks in advance for your time.

Cork / Does anyone else have SHEEHAN family of Scrahan/Rathmore 1860's/AHEARNE
« on: Friday 27 April 12 11:54 BST (UK)  »
I recently found a brickwall in my ancestry. Sarah Sheehan daughter of Patrick Sheehan & Honora Cronin.
Patrick & Honora also have 10 other children all born Scrahan/Rathmore 1840-60's.
Does anyone else have this family in their research.
Sarah went onto marry John Ahearne in cork with children James, Nellie & my link Mary Ahearne.
Would love to know more of what happened to rest of the Ahearne's or Sheehan clan.
Thanks for reading this.

Hi There,
I have recently discovered a possible link to my Whatson/Watson ancestors in Deptford Kent who may be originally from Buckinghamshire.

From an old posting on here Edward Whatson born 1719 Stone to parents Simon Whatson & Mary Dosset who married in Dinton in 1718(Mary DOB 1694 Dinton Father John Dosset). Simon & Mary also had other children John 1721,Elizabeth 1723/25, Catherine 1724/5, Jane 1727 & Hannah 1730 all baptised in Stone as well as my Edward 1719.

Edward ended up in Deptford, Kent  married 1743 to Ann Biswell/Boswell with children Simon 1750 ,Sarah & Mary twins 1753 ,George 1759 ,John 1746 & Ann 1748, All children were baptised in Deptford Edward was a distillers servant. All my Watson's then stay in Deptford until present day.

I want to ask if anyone on here has or knows of the Whatson/Watson family or the Dosset family from Dinton or even the Biswell/Boswell link.
Many thanks for reading

Hugh was a Hairdresser from 1841-1861 census.
Need parental info to see who we need to look for in order to go back further. Hugh was of Irish decent.
Hope this is not too cheeky a request.

Hi ,
I have 3 brothers Hugh, Frederick Edward & William Frederick Lord who all served in WW1. Have been lucky enough to view service & pension records for them via Ancestry but would love to know what they looked like.
William the youngest , in R.A.S.C  City of London Regiment was my Great Grandfather, his brother Hugh, Lancashire Fusillers, & Frederick Edward also R.A.S.C but in Lancashire.
Any ideas much appreciated.
Best wishes

Does anyone have access to Parish Records for Paddington for the period 1820-1830 please.
We have a marriage ref. for James Richardson to Ann Wells (Pallott's 1820 Paddington) Would love to see a copy of full parish entry. We are looking for the baptisms/births of their first two children James abt 1825, and Charles abt 1829. The final 3 children were baptised St Margaret's Edgware 1832, 1835, & 1838.
We need to especially find James 1825 as he is our link.
Many thanks for your help.

Hi fellow listers
Whilst I have been doing my English genealogy for a while I have only two Scottish links. One I have made no progress with what so ever, the other I knew was born in Scotland from census about 1808-1810 but never knew where.
I now know from 1851 England census Sophia Lord was born in Leith. Her Father John Lord was in the Royal Artillery and consequently Sophia's siblings have been born all over the country: Ashford in Kent, Colchester in Essex, Hull in Yorkshire and Sunderland in Durham. All these places are right for Army connections is this also the case for Leith please?
Her Mother was Frances Shephard/Shepherd.
How would I go about finding a record of her birth is there anything online or is it a case of tracing the likely parish then locating a record? I have heard that Scottish records contain far more than their English counterparts and am hoping it is true in this case.
Thanks for any help given

Hi Dawn
Hope I am doing this right I didn't seem to be able to reply to your thread.
I am hoping you can help:
I need a marriage for William Law Andrews abt 1796-1800 and then a birth for Thomas Law Andrews 1799-1802 Hanover Square/Westminster (1851 census says born 1802 Hanover Square, 1861 census says born 1801 Westminster). Thomas death age 68 in 1867 works out to a birth 1799.
Then if possible a death around this time for Thomas's Mum between 1796-1802.William remarried in 10 Oct 1802 St Mary's & St Marylebone, Marylebone Road. William was shown as widower on this marriage to Ann Frail. They had children all baptised at same church St Mary & St Marylebone. But Thomas was not baptised there in 1799-1802 I've checked.

I know through this board that there are two marriages at St Georges Hanover Square for a William Andrews to Sarah Harding 1796
and in 1798 to Elizabeth China but neither of these marriages has William as William Law Andrews and he always put this on his 2nd marriage and subsequent baptisms of all four of his children.
Hope you can help with some of these problems.
Thankyou so much for your kind offer of help.
Best wishes
Jenny
