Australia / Casey family in Queensland
« on: Wednesday 08 November 17 21:14 GMT (UK)  »
I am hoping  to confirm the parents of Leslie Edward Casey born in Queensland 22 July 1917. This was the date on AIF details for his service in WW2. His NOK was noted as W McKenna which fits with my research. However after searching the Queensland BMD site I cannot find his birth at all. Is there another way of finding his parents names?
Thank you

London and Middlesex / Looking for location of Northumberland Terrace 1860
« on: Sunday 13 December 15 03:51 GMT (UK)  »
Research in London is completely new to me and I have been trying to locate just where Northumberland Tce would have been situated about 1850.-1860. I have searched some old map sites but having never been to London I am unfamiliar with where to start my search.
Thank you

Flintshire / Williams family of High St Holywell 1891
« on: Monday 06 July 15 06:28 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to piece together a tree for a friend who does not have  a computer. Her father was born (in NZ) illegitimate, to a David Alyn Roberts and he never knew who his father was. This has all come to light from other extended family, since his death.
David Alyn Roberts  NZ death cert in states his parents were Rowland Roberts and Anne Williams. After a little research I think have found him in 1891, aged 6, living with his mother and siblings with his paternal grandfather David Williams at Oswalt House, High St Holywell.
I wonder what was Oswalt House ? The grandfather's occupation was Grocer.
Any ideas for my  future research would be most appreciated, thank you.
David Alyn Roberts left UK in 1910.

Flintshire / Welsh language help please
« on: Thursday 02 July 15 00:14 BST (UK)  »
Hoping someone can translate for me. I have found a census page with some families written up in Welsh language and the remainder of the page in English. Just wondered why the two languages are on the same page and also an occupation which even though I put it into a translator , nothing has been given as  a match .Possibly I am reading it wrongly. The occupation is written as  Chwegnwyddwr.

Thank you

I am trying to get a few photos together for the family of my Dads business partner who recently passed away at age 95. This in one of their trucks  from years ago but unfortunately is quite pale and lifeless. If someone can give it a bit more depth please I would be most grateful. Not  genealogy I know -- ----

Many thanks
