Just wondering if anyone knows of a record or transcript of the graves at Monart church?

We are searching for details about Patrick Byrne - born approx. 1856.

He is present in 1901 census of Ireland in Goldenfort near Baltinglass with his brother and sister.

What we want to find out is when he travelled to Australia and when he returned?

What we do know is that he worked at breaking horses for the British Army in Australia??

Is there a way to look up British Army records for 1850 - 1900 in Australia as well as emigrants from Ireland to Oz.

Would really appreciate help to show us where to start looking.

Also how would I find his parents??

Many thanks,

Patricia

Wexford / Brigid Braddle (Braddell), Wexford
« on: Monday 27 February 12 21:12 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for information on my gg-grandmother Brigid Braddle (it can be spelled a couple of different ways).

She married John Murphy. Their son James (my great grandfather) was born in 1864 and was baptised in Kilrush, Co. Wexford. They had other children also. As far as I can gather, Brigid died in the 1920's but I can't find where she or her husband are buried - not buried in Kilrush anyway.

On the Baptismal Cert, James' sponsors are listed as Patrick Braddle and Rosanna Purcell. In Griffiths valuation, there is mention of Patrick Braddle in Tombrack, Ferns.

Braddell was a well known name in the Carnew / Kilrush / Ballingate area at one stage and I do wonder if there is a connection to those Braddells.

If anyone can help, I would be most grateful. Even if I knew where they were buried, I could visit the grave.

Many thanks.
