Dorset Lookup Requests / James and Richard Pearce
« on: Saturday 24 May 14 16:46 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for information on a James Pearce who I believe was born in abt. 1797 in Dorset England.  From different postings it has been suggested he was born in Cheselbourne, Chesil Beach or Poole in St. James Parish, Dorset.  James is an ancestor of my husband and James came to Newfoundland, Canada and married Alice Glushien in 1820 in Carbonear, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.  I think his parents my have been Richard and Jane Pearce who were married in 1795 in a St. James Parish, Dorset.  Richards birth has been suggested in the range 1772-1775 in Dorset.  The possible children of Richard and Jane may have been James, Ann, Elizabeth, Robert and Richard.

I would appreciate any information on the above Pearce family in Dorset.
