« on: Thursday 15 January 15 15:48 GMT (UK)  »
Have the above living in the Tonbridge area of Kent with Philadelphia Stevens (Phyllis) in 1881. She is listed as a housekeeper and was born 1862. The census suggests he had been married before and she had an illegitimate child, maybe his. Can anybody help with previous marriage please.

« on: Wednesday 19 November 14 13:20 GMT (UK)  »
Has anybody any knowledge of the above marrying after 1911, she was born in 1894 in Llanwrst and was the Daughter of John and Anne.
I have been told there is a family tree on Ancestry showing her dying in Trafford Cheshire in 1978, can't find a death for Ellen Williams but of course she may have married.
Would be grateful for any information as I have hit a wall.

Denbighshire / William Williams Llanwrst
« on: Tuesday 28 January 14 13:40 GMT (UK)  »
High, William was my Grandfather and was known as soldiermawr. He served in the 1st Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers from 1906 until 1919 and then again in WW2.
My puzzle is that he had two Sisters Martha born 1885 Llanwrst and Nellie (Elen) born 1894, both alive in 1919 and mentioned on his demob papers. Martha was a domestic nurse at the Swan Inn Llanwrst in 1901 but I have no trace of her after that. Nellie was living in Denbigh Street Llanwrst in 1911 with her Grandmother Ann.
Needle in haystack time, does either of these two people ring any bells with anyone. I have not found a marriage or death that is certain for either of them.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / dyzarts, Hampshire late 18th Century
« on: Monday 07 May 12 11:17 BST (UK)  »
My wife ancestors are Dyzarts who resided around Chertsey Surrey in the 19th Century and later in North Kent. The earliest Dyzart I can find is John born 1777 in Winchester according to a later census.
I have visited Winchester archives and they have only one Dyzart baptism  (not John), for that period.
The name is variously listed as Dysett, and Dysart.
Thank you.

Hi, I am new to this site but after Googling the above name it came up as a thread on the Welsh language forum. Although I am English John Harlech Jones was my Great Grandfather and I have ammassed a lot of information on both him and Nant Gwytheryn. Could someone please arrange a translation for me, I would be very interested to know the content.
