I currently have a free trial on Ancestry for U.S. records.  Try as I might I can't find Raymond Euclid Deforest or his wife Mabel Irene (Basset) Deforest.

1935 he marries Mabel Irene Basset in Lyndon, Caledonia, Vermont.

1936 he is living with wife Mabel at 32 Chapman, Greenfield Massachussets

1939 he lives at 104 South Main Street, South Norwalk (home of his mother Josephine (Lafay) Deforest Beffre.)

1940 Draft Registration Card gives his mother as next of kin.  Address given for him is 35 1st Street, East Norwalk, Connecticut.

1941 Norwalk Directory with wife Mabel I. at Pine Street, South Norwalk.

I have a few more records going forward but I'd like to find them in 1940 to see if they had any children.

Good afternoon!  I have attached a clip of a Vermont Divorce Index.  The very bottom line relates to my research but I've included a shot of the others on the page for reference. The column gives the reason for divorce...can anyone tell me what it says please?

Anc*stry have 7 records for Elias J. Theriac in the U.S. Transport Service, Passenger Lists, 1910-1939 Draft, Enlistment & Service.

I currently have the details for my Elias J. Theriac U.S. WW2 Army Enlistment Records 1938-1946.  He enlisted on 7 October 1942 in Chittenden, Vermont.

Anyone with a current subscription willing to look up the 7 records to see if its the same Elias J. Theriac?

I have obtained details from the Maine Marriage Index, 1892-1966, 1977-1996 database, Family Search for Joseph E. Deforest to Josephine Laffey on 11 Jan 1904.  The event place is given as Maine, United States.

There is no certificate number given.  Does this mean there is not one available to order?  I visited the Vitalchek website with a view to obtaining a copy (if there is one), only to fall at the first hurdle as I do not know the town/city the marriage took place in.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
