Caernarvonshire / Margaret Evans, Trawsgoed, Llannor
« on: Monday 30 April 18 09:22 BST (UK)  »
I am following Margaret Evans, daughter of Evan Evnas, Trawsgoed, Llannor who married Griffith Roberts at Llannor  April 13, 1839. She was shown as Full age.

Going on from there I have found
RG4/3484  Baptism of Margaret, daughter of Evan and Elizabeth Evans, Trawscoed Llannor. 07/12/1812
and
RG/43485  Baptism of Margaret, daughter of Evan and Elizabeth Evans, Trawsgoed, Llannor 01/08/1816
I assumed that the first Margaret had died and the next daughter given the same name.  But I can find no record to prove this.
Then I noticed one at  Trawsgoed and the other at Trawscoed?
Any ideas  welcome. Thank you.

Have discovered that my gggrand parents were buried in this cemetery.  There is a photo of the gravestone on yffor.com but it is not possible to read the inscription.  I was wondering whether the memoril inscriptions for this cemetery have been published.

Caernarvonshire / help to find baptism of Owen Jones, Cae Glas, Llanwnda c1802 please
« on: Wednesday 16 April 14 21:20 BST (UK)  »
1820 will of Thomas Jones, Cae Glas Llanwnda mentions
a) son John. I have found his baptism 14/2/1879 and burial 13/04/1821. He died before his father.
b) son Owen.  I can not find his baptism or marriage.  His gravestone shows that he died 31/07/1856 age 56. Thus I have a birth year of 1802.
1841 census for Cae Glas Llanwnda
Owen Jones    35  birth year 1806
Ellin Jones    35
Thomas Jones    10
John Jones    5
Humphrey Jones    4
Anne Jones    6
Ellin Jones    2

1851 census
Owen Jones    49  birth year 1802,( a better match to his gravestone)
Ellin Jones    44
John Jones    17
Ann Jones    15
Humphrey Jones    14
Ellin Jones    12
Lewis Jones    9
Owen Jones      4
If anyone can find a baptism for Owen or his son Thomas I would be very grateful.
thank you

This is a follow up to
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=664699.0
I have now the original photo, scanned at 600, cropped as much as possible and the image information reads
Memory Used    on Disk    In RAM
Image                 3117K     4016K
Image caches                           0K
Undo                   4171K          21K
Total                    4171K      4038K
I have paint shop pro.
Tried resizing by 2% each time but after about 10 cycles the photo becomes blurry.
The resample choices I have are
Bicubic, Smart size, Bilinear, Pixel resize, and weighted average.
I have no idea what they mean.
I can not find any choices regarding compression.
Please help, there are six photos in all, I will not ask for restorations all at once so I need to find out how to get them ready.
Many thanks
