US Lookup Requests / Charles MARION b. 9 Mar 1842 Baltimore
« on: Saturday 07 July 12 08:39 BST (UK)  »
Searching for any US family connected with Charles Marion b 9 Mar 1842 Baltimore Maryland USA. Charles came to Australia just prior to the Civil War but his family stayed behind. His parents were Charles Marion and Mary Nichol/ls.Siblings I think are William, Francis, Eve and Virginia Rosalien. Family history has it that the elder Charles had a felt factory that went bankrupt. His wife
Mary was of Scottish decent.  Charles is of French/Canadian decent.
I have hit many brick walls in the past - just hoping someone has more access to information than they may have had previously. I have no marriage date/place for the elder Charles and Mary.

Just hers doesn't appear anywhere. I want to order her birth cert but can't without the cert. Any ideas ?  ???

Hi there all researchers,

I have struck a bit of a dead end. Mainly because I can't get my head around where my ancestor was born.  Thomas DAY b. 1810 St Margaret, Middlesex. Couldn't find him on the 1841 census but on later census results it says born City of London......

So - I can't go looking in parish registers until I find out where to look !

Probably doesn't help that I am researching from Australia... all that standing on one's head  :D

All help you could give would be great.

cheers
