He dies in Madras 1851. I wondered if anyone had access to find my past and the records there. Is there anything on there for him? He was born 1796 in India

I have him on the census, aged 21 born and living with his family in 1851 in Devonport. But then he disappears never to be seen again. I have a possible in 1891, from Dawlish as a Doctor living in London. My instinct says it's not the right one but I have no other. I also can't find a birth certificate/marriage certificate or any other record of him at all. It doesn't seem possible to me that a blockmaker could become a doctor, is it? Can anyone find where he is hiding as I am now stuck.

I have found a relative that marriage at Lisburns Civil Registrars office in 1857, not the church. Is this common, I was under the impression that people generally got married in church pre 1900. Please excuse my lack of knowledge.

William James Stinson, in Dungannon in 1915 to a Stinson. Sorry this is all I have.

I have this photo and it is obvious he is a freemason. I know nothing at all about freemasonery but would like to know more the photo and the man (my husband great grandfather) and his position in the freemasons. I know the photo was taken in India.
