It’s a photo from an old news article so not great quality I’m afraid.
A Welsh choir in Blaenau Ffestiniog, photo taken by Moelwyn high school.
I’m hoping someone may have an idea when it was taken. Can anyone possible put a date to the photo please?

Merionethshire / Roberts Penrhyn
« on: Friday 19 January 18 22:35 GMT (UK)  »
Please could someone help me locate this family.
I have a David Roberts born 1872, a Blacksmith by trade and lived at Adwyddu Smithy, Penrhyndeudraeth.

His wife was Sarah Jane Roberts, Richards before marriage, born 23 Aug 1870.

Sarah Jane has a sister- Elizabeth Richards born 14th Feb 1876.

David and Sarah have many children, I can not be certain of the precise amount but do guess it possibly being 8 children. One of the children is a son - Robert John.

David and Sarah are buried together, Sarah died 1944 and her husband David died 1951.

Thank You

Armed Forces / Service records

I am wanting to apply for my fathers service records and have downloaded the relavent forms needed to apply. The problem I have with filling these forms is that other than his bmd details, I have little other information. I have tried searching for him on ancestry military and just fall short every time, I can't seem to find anything that would give me his service number/rank/dates and I don't even know where he was sent to fight during his time there.
All I know is that it was 'National Service'.
I have a photo of him at a very young age (about 18 years old) taken from an army barracks. On the reverse of this photo is written 'Oswestry 1949'.
After showing his photo dressed in uniform on roots chat, I was told that he likely served with the Artillery.
Name- Richard Glyn Williams
Born- 20 Dec 1930
Death- Nov 1971
Lived in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Merioneth.
He married my mother in 1956, and I was born in 1957, and am pritty sure he was no longer in the Army at the time of my birth.
His father- Richard H Williams.

Merionethshire / Elizabeth Griffith / Williams / Price
« on: Friday 13 February 15 05:56 GMT (UK)  »
Elizabeth Griffth was born in Ffestiniog in the year 1880. She was the daughter of Hugh & Elizabeth Griffith. She died in the same area at the age of 81, 1961. I know that her second marriage was to a Owen Price, and together they had a daughter 'Mair', and they lived in Manod road, Ffestiniog.        Elizabeth was my gg grandmother, and my gg grandfather was her first husband, and it is with him I'm needing some help please.     I'm unable to find any information regarding Elizabeth's first marriage, and all I know for sure is that his surname was 'Williams', and that they had 3-5 children together. Their first child was my g grandfather 'Richard Hugh Williams', who also lived in the Ffestiniog area.  If anyone could find any information regarding Elizabeth's first marriage, I would be most great full. I seem to have hit that brick wall with this one.
