The Common Room / Illegitimate Child of 1920

Hi there i have just found out my grandmother had a child out of marriage 1920ish but gave up for adoption aged 3 but cannot find any birth records any clues where to start. Child wad called Ruth grandmothers maiden name was Bibby. My grandmother was in a orphanage in Norwood till she went into service presumably aged 14-16. Help !

I am looking for my G G Grandfather Alfred Wells Born abt 1845 in Shadwell he was a Painter decorator.He lived in Hornsey and Tottenham. He married Lavinia Blackaller cannot find any marriage or birth for either grandparents. I have hit a brick wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find out the maiden name of my gg grandmother Martha Ann Humphries born abt 1856 in Weston according to census's. She married William Hatcher in 1882 in London Her father was Edward Humphries a labourer and her mother was Ellen Sarah. If anyone can find anything that would be amazing.

Hi Everyone
Don't know if anybody can help im trying to trace my g grand parents, G/fathers name was George Hart born abt 1877 he died in Feb. 1966 aged 89yrs he lived in Newgate street Hertfordshire and was married to Ethel Constance I have no maiden name she died November 1951 aged 61, George was a policeman and a gardener. They had a son Leonard George hart born 1905. I can't seem to find anything no census no marriage, seem to have come to a halt , Can anybody tell me anything about a police station in Newgate village and help would be greatly appreciated

Hi I don't know if anyone can help im looking for my grandmother on my husbands side of the family. Eugenie Frances jegon/Jegou. The 1911 census said she was born in jersey. I have had the records searched and there is no trace. Her brother was born in St Malo France so the jersey registry office thinks she was probably born in France too. She was born about 1902. She was living in jersey with grand parents Jean Marie and Marguerite Cozic . Her fathers name was Alfred and he was a fisherman according to her marriage cert. The Cozic family was born in Plouanz cote du nord. Any info would be really helpful.

Hi i don't know if anyone can help I'm trying to find a marriage for my g g grandparents, Arthur Robert Keasley or Robert Arthur born 1867 as he sometimes used and Matilda Lavinia wells born 1866.They lived south hornsey when my granmother was born in 1899. I have look at so many records and brought wrong marriage certs. Please help

I'm trying to find the correct birth for my ggg grandfather. I have ordered several birth certificates but im still unable to confirm correct one. I know fron census he was born about 1841 in west hannifield. I have the death cert i know he died 24th march 1889 at the aged of 48 and was married to elizabeth riglen ansd they lived in woolwich. I hope someone can help

Essex Lookup Requests / james Brown abt 1810

Can anyone help me im trying to find James Brown born abt 1810 in west hanningfield and he married Mary Ann Cox also of west Hanningfield born abt 1814. I have found marriage banns for 1836 but the strange thing is that it is the lambeth district and the entry say's west hanningfield. I cannot find the actual marriage or any birth entries on ancestry for either ancestor. I hope someone might be able to help.
