Herefordshire / Rev Van Blerk
« on: Saturday 02 May 20 17:56 BST (UK)  »
Seeking a death record or 1901 census mention for a Rev. Felix Van Blerk, parish priest who served at the former Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Ross-on-Wye in 1897-1898.  This info from Bernard Kelly’s Historical Notes on English Catholic Missions.  Any information as to his death or whereabouts would be appreciated after the years indicated.  He was originally from Belgium and had served in several Catholic parishes in Maritime Canada. This was as far as I could trace his paper trail.
Thanks in advance for any help in finding him.

Limerick / Mehan-Hogan
« on: Sunday 17 July 16 02:49 BST (UK)  »
Searching for the following:

Baptism record for a Bridget MEHAN (MEEHAN), daughter of John & Mary (Hogan) Mehan of County Limerick (parish unknown) between 1805-1810.  She married in 1833 in Canada.  I do not know when she migrated to North America.

Also, would like to find the marriage of her parents (John MEHAN & Mary HOGAN) circa 1800-1805.  Sorry, I don't have the parish name or any more information to offer other than the county, given in her marriage record.  Any help finding this couple, their daughter and/or other siblings would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Dennis

PS. I have a feeling that what I am asking for may be too early to find any records, but thought I would ask and see what might return from people's family research on these surnames.  If nothing can be found, please feel free to disregard my questions.

Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark / Philip JEAN
« on: Wednesday 18 June 14 22:35 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

Seeking the birth of a Philip JEAN ca 1853, and wondering if he is the Philip Francis JEAN, born at St-Helier on 26 Jan 1854?

If so, he would have been the son of Philippe JEAN and Jane LeBRETON.  Is there a marriage for this couple which would include the names of their parents?  Thanks in advance,

Dennis

Thanks in advance.

Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark / 1861 census of Anglesey/Holyhead
« on: Monday 14 October 13 15:08 BST (UK)  »
Would it be possible for someone with access to the 1861 census of Angelsey/Holyhead to please post the household members for the following two households (with ages, other identifying matter).

Households 46 and 64

I believe they may contain identifying material for my lost Dupré/Dupreuil family.

In the first group, there is an Alexandre JA born at St-Brelade about 1859.  Can this baptismal record be located by anyone.

A sincere thanks in advance for your help.

Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark / Marriages needed from Jersey Island
« on: Saturday 13 October 12 22:15 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

Perhaps I was too hasty in removing my request, as I just found the digitized baptismal records at Jerripedia, and in one set, five children for one of the couples I asked about.  I have been doing research for over 30 years, mostly in libraries and in books, but had no knowledge of the efforts of the Islands Family History Society to place their holdings online.  The Channel Islands holdings at Familysearch are mostly for Guernsey Island, and over the years, I try to work with as many primary sources as possible.

If you would please reconsider my request, here is the list I had posted originally (plus, one extra):

Édouard NOEL + Elizabeth NOEL - St-Martin’s circa 1770-1771
(I found five of their children in the baptisms, including son Edouard for whom I was looking in 1772)

Thomas SALMON + Marie LEGROS - St-Peter circa 1815-1817
(Just found two of their sons in the baptisms)

John SAVAGE/SAUVAGE + Harriet PIROUET circa 1875

Emile DUPRÉ (later went by Dupreuil) = Mary Ann HENRY/BLAMPIED circa 1855-1858

George BINET + Anne MOLLET - St. Martin's circa 1855

John LANGFORD + Mary Anne TRUE/TRUMAN (?) circa 1840

Any of these marriages you could find (and if possible, with parents’ names) would be most appreciated.  Again, my apologies for removing my original request and my sincere thanks in advance for your help.
