Wicklow / Adam Glover marriage, wife, children
« on: Thursday 09 May 19 18:45 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out information about my G-G-G-Grandfather Adam Glover. His son, John Glover was born about 1836 and married Bessie Collins April 19, 1860 in Rathdrum, Wiclow, Ireland. All I have is that his father's name was Adam and I am pretty sure Adam was a police constable in Athy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Cindy

London and Middlesex / Crawford/Glover Marriage 1945
« on: Monday 05 August 13 02:39 BST (UK)  »
I was trying to verify my aunts marriage by finding her father's name in a marriage record. What I have is as follows:

Ralph Carter Crawford married Helen Margaret Glover
March 3, 1945 at St. James The Less, Pimlico, Westminster, London, England.

The information comes from 2 Family Trees on Ancestry and the England&Wales Marriage Index 1915-2005.

Any confirmation of her father's name would be greatly appreciated.

Cheshire / Cabra House, Newton Lane, Chester
« on: Monday 08 July 13 03:21 BST (UK)  »
My great-grandfather, Henry William Glover, died in 1920. In his will it lists his residence as Cabra House, Newton Lane, Chester. Does anyone have any idea what Cabra House was (boarding house, apartment, etc.) and what the actual address on Newton Lane it would be?

Thanks,
Cindy

Carlow / Glover Burials at Killenshin Cemetery
« on: Thursday 06 June 13 16:07 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to see if it is possible to get a photo of a grave marker, if it still exists. There would be 3 people buried in the cemetery that I know of.

I'm not sure if this number is the grave location or not: Section B #67

Samuel Glover - died Feb 20, 1895

Hampshire & IOW Completed Lookup Requests / Elizabeth Hannah Glover Burial
« on: Tuesday 28 May 13 03:15 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the most likely spot that my Great-grandmother Elizabeth Hannah Glover (nee Osmond) would have been buried. She died October 13, 1898 at the Garrison Station Hospital at Portsea Town, Portsmouth. Her husband, Henry William Glover was in the RAMC. She would have been 42 years old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a headstone exists would it be possible to get a photo? I live in Canada and there is no way I would ever be able to get there.

Thank you,

Cindy

Cheshire / Photo of Headstones(***Completed with thanks***)
« on: Tuesday 28 May 13 01:01 BST (UK)  »
Is it possible to request a photo of a headstone or two which are located together at Overleigh Cemetery? I believe it is the old one. Another rootschat member was kind enough to provide me with the grave information but, living in Canada, there is no way I can take the photos. The information I have is as follows:

Henry William Glover - died June 3, 1920
                               - buried June 8, 1920
                               - Grave # P3225
                               - Page # 35
                               - Cemetery Register DCE 1/8
                               - Running # 1962

Mary Elizabeth Foster - died May 23, 1930
(Henry's daughter)    - buried May 28, 1930
                               - Grave # P3225
                               - Page # 35
                               - Cemetery Register DCE 1/9
                               - Running # 3013
Hopefully this information is enough to find where the grave is.
Thank you for any help that may be provided.

I am trying to find the burial places for my Great-Grandparents. The information I have is as follows. Any help with figuring out where they may be buried is greatly appreciated.

Henry William Glover - died June 3, 1920 at the Queen Alexandre Military Hospital, Millbank, Middlesex, England. He was in the RAMC. In a probate entry it states he was "of Cabra House, Newton-by-Chester, Cheshire".

Elizabeth Hannah Glover (nee Osmond) Henry William Glover's wife - died Oct 13, 1898 at the Garrison Station Hospital, Portsea Town, Portsmouth.

Their Religion was Church of Ireland.

Thanks for any help that may point me in the right direction.

« on: Sunday 19 May 13 03:03 BST (UK)  »
I have a death listed on the Ireland Civil Registration Index that lists Samuel Glover as dying in 1896 in Malta, Ireland. It says the Registration District is Malta. Could someone please let me know where that is.  Thanks.

Kerry / Nelligan's from Dingle
« on: Tuesday 07 May 13 13:34 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find Birth records or anything really for my GGrandmothers family. What I have is mainly from my GGGrandfather's Marriage record from Frampton, Quebec. It states that his parents were John Nelligan and Bridget Murphy from Dingle Kerry. I have found a few other sibling as well which are listed below. All that I have ended up in Quebec, Canada.

Maurice born about 1810 - my GGGrandfather married in Quebec
James born  Sep 12, 1804 - he became a priest in Quebec
Bridget born about 1803 - she married Patrick Delaney in Dingle on Feb 26, 1822
                                    - this I found on the irishgenealogy site
Michael - not sure when he was born
           - his wife was Mary Black
Patrick - married Bridget Herlihy in Dingle on Jun 26, 1822
           - again from the irishgenealogy site
           - I am just presuming he is related only because of the other names listed in baptism
             records in Quebec.

Any possible help will be greatly appreciated

Cindy
