Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Help wanted for Williams Please!!

Hi there! My name is Michelle and i am trying to locate my mother-in-laws family as she has ask me to do her family tree.
Her father was Gerard Cowell Williams born 30 March 1906 in Montgomeryshire Shropshire he married Rosina (Rose) Crighton born 30 May 1904 they married 6 June 1931 in Godalming, , Surrey, England.  His father was Harry Williams born abt 1868 he married Constance Oakley born 8 Nov 1867 they married about 1893 in London. I would like to go back further down the williams side please.
I have hit a snag. As i live in New zealand all help from England etc is most apprieciative
