Christina McCallum Blair (Twin with brother John) born 21 02 1899 in Barrhead, Glasgow, Scotland. Parents Margaret McAllister and Alexander Martin Blair. Not having any success finding a marriage or death for her in South Africa. Most of the family lived in Grahamstown, Cape Province.

On Sept 10th 2023 you provided a Death and Probate information for her aunt Euphema McAllister  and signature on one of Euphemia's Documents. was C.Blair. dated 1968

It would be appreciated if you would help me find something to establish, Marriage or Death as I don't seem to be very good at researching all the South African Collections on Family Search.

Ronald and John McAllister married two McCallum sisters.  The sisters died in 1874 and 1888. The brothers born 1840 and 1849 respectfully, were both joiners/carpenters. Last information I have is Scottish Census 1891.

Ronald had 3 children, Margaret, Euphemia and Christina.  Margaret married Alexander Martin Blair 1898, had twins and were all on 1911 Census at Barrhead. Her marriage witness was Euphemia McLellan, her cousin from Cambusnethan
Christina died 1874 also her mother, Christy.
Euphemia last on 1891 Census with father Ronald and aunt Mary McAllister. at Ardrossan.

John had 3 children Mary, John and Duncan.
English census 1901 had a John 23, John 55 and Duncan 22 Not verified.
Mary nothing.

Ronald and John McAllister parents, as per their marriage Certs were John McAllister b1813 and Margaret Murphy b 1806

I have used all my resources, Ancestry, Find My Past, Family Search, Ireland, Immigration but fail to find. Ronald and dau Euphemia, John , sons John and Duncan and daughter Mary.

Scottish Census 1921will be out later, as not taken until June 1921 but I am trying to complete my research on the main family who are Hyndmans

Any help will be most gratefully received.

Trying to verify if John McMurchy born 3.05 1806 Saddell and John McMurchy born abt 1814 Campbeltown are one and the same.  Family Search has tress with more or less the same source information.  Unable to determine when he went to Canada. John born 03 05 1806, parents Archibald McMurchy and Mary Hyndman.

Death Cert, Simcoe, has relation in Collingwood, Ontario,who was a ship carpenter.

Any known McMurchy's out there??

1)Effy Hyndman b21 4 1811 married Duncan Hamilton 14 8 1829. 2 children , Christina and Jane born 1831 Campbeltown. No further information re Jane.
2)Effy as Hyman married Duncan McCallum 11 9 1836. Children, Mary and Andrew b 1837 no details
Margaret 3 8 1839, Christain (Christy) 22 12 1841 Flora 3 8 1844. 2nd husband and family  on Census.
1881 Census Christina b 1831 with son Peter Connor 26, b 1855 Glasgow.at Campbeltown
1891 Census Christina b 1841 with son Peter McAulay Connor 29, b 1862. at Campbeltown
1901 Census Peter Connor 43 b 1858  1911 Census Peter Connor 55, at Cambusnethan. McCallum family were there
1861 Census by LDS had Peter b 1854, 7,at Campbeltown Scot People had no Peter only Samuel , 40, at Campbeltown.
Would Christina Hamilton b 1831 and Christina McCallum be one and same.  If not what happened to the twins born 1831.  Was there disease at that time.

Any help with this is appreciated.

Difficulty with Malcolm McMillan who married  Mary MacArthur.  She was born 1818  in Kilarrow, Islay.

Malcolm born 1811/1815/or 1816, in Saddell/Skipness Parish. Parents  Iver,later named Edward MacMillan and Effy Hyndman.  LDS listings have 2 males born to Iver and not named.

Census have them both, Malcolm and Mary born in Kilarrow and he with birth date 1816, 1818, and 1819.

If this is someones family I have lots of details from Census to share.
