Clare / Catholic Parish Registers - Killnoe - Marriages, Page 15
« on: Wednesday 24 November 21 03:21 GMT (UK)  »
Good evening All,

I will be very grateful if some one can deciper the occupation and place for Jim Consedine.

Mary Considine and John O'Callaghan did go to Australia and their first child was born in Victoria in 1851.
Another researcher and I are trying to see if we are looking at the same Mary Considine. One was born in O'Briensbridge in 1833 to Patrick Consedine and Mary Kenna. Would she have then married in Killnoe in 1850

Thank you for any insight.

Good evening all,

Why can I find a birth on Free BMD's in the year where I expect to find it, but I cannot find it in the GRO.

The name I am looking for is Clive Thelwall and his mother is Ada Gardner. His birth year should be 1895.

Thank you

Good morning All,

Am I the only person who cannot get on to the web site? I have been receiving an error message since Saturday morning. I have not sent them a message as I assumed that there would be lots in front of me.

Australia / Death Registration in Victoria 1970's
« on: Saturday 17 July 21 08:29 BST (UK)  »
Good evening all,

I am following George Leslie Treloar born 1905 to Henry John Treloar and Ellen Elizabeth Rowe.

I think he married Martha Emily Parker in 1932.

Now, here is the question.
He died in Spotswood in 1971 Registration number 9968/1971.
Is he the George L Treloar buried at Footscray with his mother and her two husbands? If Yes, if his burial service was 15 October 1970, why is his death registration in 1971.

In New Zealand a death has to be registered within weeks - this one - if it is correct - has taken 3 months.

Thank You
Jean Price

And where is his wife buried. (That is a question for another time).

Antrim / Giluskirk Presbyterian Church

Good evening all,

I have a couple - William Gibson and Mary Eliza(beth) Haire marrying at this church on the 14 January 1903. This is from Irish Genealogy ie.
I cannot decipher the parish name - can any one help?
Ancestry and Family Search have not got the name.
I am asking on the Antrim board because the only Google reference I can find for Giluskirk has the place in Antrim.

Thank you,

Technical Help / Keeping up with Answering Email
« on: Tuesday 23 March 21 06:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hello All,

I know I am a disorganised person but having gmail is not helping.

Some years ago, when I had another email provider, it all came in through Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and I had numerous folders set up, eg DNA, Hodgson, Urgent Answer, and as I read each email I moved it to the appropriate folder.

I don't think I can do that with gmail.

Sometimes you don't want to answer an email the same day - it needs some thought - and I am finding that these emails slip out of sight.

Please tell me what you do.

Is there a programme I can put in front of gmail to do the same thing as my ancient programme used to do? Or can I still use it - but how do I set it up.

Thank you for listening to me,

Australia / Please decipher this place name from Victoria

Good afternoon,

John Hickey had a farm at this place in 1884 when he made his will. It is near Charlton, but I can not see a likely candidate on Google maps.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
