Cumberland / William Hutton and Lydia (Hodgeson?) marriage Carlisle c1766

I've been trying to find a marriage for my William for some time now - all I know is that his wife's name was Lydia but I have been unable to find a surname. They would have been married (if they'd bothered!) around 1766 when their first child George Hutton was born with other children Sarah, John, Lydia, Elizabeth, and another George appearing between then and 1778. I did a search on the IGI today just using Lydia in the forename field and Carlisle as the place to look. One record came up - Liddia Hodgeson chr 18 Dec 1746 St Cuthbert's Carlisle. A grandson's census details showed Hodgesons' living next door, a bit of a tenuous link. Would anyone be able to do a search for me to see if this is the right Lydia who married William? It would be greatly appreciated.

Wiltshire / Henry KING marriage lookup please c1725-1741

Hi

Following the suggestion of some rootschatters I have put this post on the Wiltshire board in the hope that someone may help as the lookup on the Oxfordshire Marriage Index threw no light on the marriage. (I will also post on the Glos board).
I have an ancestor, Elizabeth King chr 17 Mar 1741 Burford, dau of Henry King (chr 29 Sept 1701 Burford) but have been unable to find a marriage for Henry. I have found an entry for his widow's burial 22 Jun 1758 Burford so know that her name was Susanna. She died of smallpox during what seemed to be an epidemic at this time (from Burford transcripts).

It would be appreciated if anyone could do a lookup for Susanna please so I could put a surname to her.

Oxfordshire / William Drewett marriage lookup please

I have a William Drewett chr 28 Dec 1677 Cogges who married an Elizabeth c1706. They had 3 children:

John chr 1706 Witney
Ann chr 1708 Witney
Sarah chr 1715 Witney

(There may have been others but I have not found them yet).

Could anybody do a lookup on the marriage index for me please to find Elizabeth's surname.
I do have a possible marriage of 25 Nov 1705 Appleton with Eaton, Berks - I believe this place was in Oxfordshire in earlier times. This marriage info comes from the IGI, my christening info comes from the OFHS Witney CDsx4.

Lincolnshire / Robert Albert William Stevenson, vet, Glanford Brigg

I'm not after dates or anything but I don't know if there's anyone out there who could help me solve a bit of a puzzle. My great great grandfather, Robert Stevenson, was a vet in the 1800s. He was born in Burwash, East Sussex 1846 and graduated RCVS London 25 April 1866. He was from a well-off farming family but for some reason moved himself and his family up north c. 1878 (his son Leonard was born in Liverpool then, earlier children had been born in Wittersham,Kent), my great grandmother was also born in Liverpool 1880. He then went back down to Sussex until at least 1886 when his son Cecil was born. Subsequent children after that, from Colin 1880 to Ruby 1895 were born in Glanford Brigg. Robert was buried 18 Dec 1917 Glanford Brigg.

Could anyone suggest any possible ideas as to why they would move from one end of the country to the other like this?

Yorkshire (West Riding) / James Brunton chr c 1707 Slaidburn baptism lookup please

I'm looking for the parentage of James Brunton. He had several children born between 1735 and 1748, his son Jude, chr 6 Mar 1747 was born in Slaidburn and is my ancestor. He married Ann unknown c1735.

Any help welcome for either James' parentage or his marriage much appreciated,

Lancashire / Ann Linday chr c1763 Kirkby Ireleth Lookup please

I'm looking for the parents of Ann Linday. She married William Newton in Blawith in 1784, their children were born in Kirkby Ireleth. The marriage info was obtained from the Blawith and Lowick parish registers on ancestry.

Any help appreciated (I have looked at the Lancs opc site which is normally pretty good but have been unable to find anything).

Oxfordshire / Henrie Slatford & Katherine c1589 marriage lookup

I know the date is really early but could someone have a look on the marriage index please and see if they could find a marriage for Henrie and Katherine. I have the Northleigh regs but their marriage is not in there - their children were born between 1589 and 1603 in Northleigh. I descend through their daughter Edythe who married James Impson in 1628 in Stonesfield.
