« on: Monday 30 August 21 19:22 BST (UK)  »
Good Evening,

My 3 x great grandfather, was a Master Mariner, he was born in 1821, in Milford Haven, I think he was in the RN, before being in the Merchant Navy, in the MN I;m guessing he would of worked his way up from being a mate. His masters certificate is 6767, and Mates certificate is 62.125

He married in Liverpool in to Johanna Poulson in the mid 1840s.

He ship the Catherine Porter shipwrecked of the Dublin coast in 1867, and John drowned, how would I find more of his seafaring career.

thanks for any help, I don't know where to begin, do I go to the Greenwich Museum or The London Archives for more information?
