Family History Beginners Board / lugard family line

Does anybody have any information regarding Joseph Henry Lugard born 1839 in Maidstone kent? I can't seem to find any other information or records other than a birth record and a death record for age 40 in 1879, also he appears on 1871 cencus listed as husband to marian lugard born 1842 but I am interested to trace back further for his father, I think I have found his uncle, also joseph henry lugard born 1806? Dublin and married to Martha lugard born 1816 and living in brighton in the 1851 census. Can anyone help????
