Hello,
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem, and if there is a way to fix it.
Recently on ancestry when I look at an image, say a page from the census, I enlarge it. Then, when I want to move from one side to another, or move my mouse up to the save button, the whole image moves, which can be quite annoying. I'm not holding down my mouse button while I do this, and it doesn't happen on findmypast.
Also, if I want to change a date, say a year of birth, ancestry no longer lets me just highlight what I want to change and write the new info over it, I have to first delete the date then write the new one. This is also a recent problem.
I've had ancestry for some years now, and haven't had these problems before. I use Firefox. I did speak to ancestry and they told me to use Google Chrome, but surely Firefox should work properly.
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
John

Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Stotfold Marriage c. 1896 Millard & Gentle
« on: Monday 14 January 13 07:04 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,
I'd be grateful if a kind soul could help me out with the marriage of Frank Millard and Sarah Ann Gentle, registered in the fourth quarter of 1896. It may of course be a Register Office event, but otherwise probably took place in Stotfold, since both were from there. What I am really most interested in is Sarah's father's name, as there were two Sarah Ann Gentles born in Stotfold within a year of each other (1874- 1876 -ish), one, daughter of Thomas and Ann, the other daughter of George and Ann. I think I have worked it out using later censuses, but would really appreciate confirmation.
Many thanks,

John

Hello,

If anyone has access to Alphington marriages c. 1788, I'd appreciate details of Thomas Lavers (or Lavis) and Elizabeth Moxey being married about 1788. I believe a Marriage Licence was issued for them

Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / Cambridge St Paul Marriage Lookup (1861)
« on: Monday 11 May 09 16:57 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

I'd be grateful if anyone could send me details of the marriage of Thomas CHARLES and Elizabeth EDWARDS on 3rd November 1861, at St Paul's Cambridge (from the LDS site)(Q4 1861 Cambridge 3b 1103).
I'm hoping it will show Thomas' father to be Charles and his occupation to be soldier, as I would then know I'm on the right track!

Thanks very much,

John

Hello listers,

I'd be grateful if anyone has details of a marriage between Robert RICE & Mary HOLMAN, possibly around 1832 (based on age of eldest child in 1841 census), but may have been earlier

Thanks very much,

Kent Lookup Requests / BALDWIN in West Wickham c. 1810
« on: Friday 02 January 09 07:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Listers,

The IGI shows the baptisms of several Baldwin children between 1806 and 1825. In each case the father is Thomas, and the usual mother is Sarah. But in between the first and last there are two with mother Mary, as follows:
Mary (1806, T&S), John (1811, T&S), Anne (1814, T&S), Charlotte (1817, T&M), William (1819, T&M), Joseph (1821, T&S), Henry (1825, T&S).
The dates suggest that they may all be the progeny of Thomas and Sarah, and I would be grateful if someone could clarify this point. I'd also appreciate a marriage (s?) for however many Thomases may be involved here, as I can find nothing close on the IGI - the only source I have at present.
Thanks very much,

John
