Morning Folks
Hope everyone has recovered from the weekend, I didn't over eat but of course I don't really have such large meals with all the  trimmings so I suppose I have over eaten just slightly,  didn't drink either due to recent medication but I don't need drink to enjoy myself, can get intoxicated by the atmosphere

Have been to the nearest coast this morning , really a beautiful day, sun  out and blue clear sky,  watched those who chose dipping into the sea with the life boats hovering, didn't see anyone swimming but there must have been hundreds dipping , not for me

It hasn't seemed like Christmas this year, didn't get father Christmas  driving  round  with his Rotary supporters , it is always nice to see the children with father Christmas but of course they are also collecting for charity.

I didn't get to midnight service this year, I decided I didn't want to be  out in the car on my own after midnight,  think that was sensible

Enjoy whatever time you are not working  this week and we'll done to those who worked for essential  services over Christmas  and thank you, my friend spent 5 hours in hospital yesterday after collapsing , got an appt for tomorrow as a follow up, my friend said it was fist class and  she couldn't have got better treatment if it was private

Take care everyone  specially  those  who are snowed  on

Good morning folks
Here starteth a new week

Had heavy rain yesterday PM,  it has washed most of the snow away, thank goodness it didn't turn to ice,  now I can get to do all  the things I couldn't do last week due to the bad weather, I won't  drive in the ice and snow

Dustman been this morning, thank goodness.

I hope any of you who are intending to  travel have safe journeys and have a wonderful time wherever  you will  be

Also hope any who have been unwell, are steadily  recovering

Take care, keep warm

Good morning  folks
Here starteth a new week,

We had snow here is Essex last night, not a lot but schools are closed and I notice my neighbour is home today,  he has to travel the dreaded M25 which was closed at sometime either yesterday or overnight

My mother kept a diary and I remember where they lived in London they one year had snow for a very long time, didn't stop my father going to work , he was a coal man and before he left the yard he had to get the horses hooves sorted out with some sort of screws .

Do you remember as children walking to school,  if we got wet we just sat in the  classrooms till  we dried off, I had quite a long walk to school

I will  not walk on the snow now, worst week for getting  finally sorted for Christmas and me collect my new specs, not posted my cards yet, silly me.

Keep safe and warm

Good morning  folks
South East Essex , we are having  quite a nice day after rain yesterday

Saturday  we had a really nice day at the church fayre, good weather,  didn't take quite  as much as last year  but it isn't always about the money, good atmosphere.

Hope all is well

Good morning  folks
Hope everyone is ticketty boo this morning

Weather  not looking to good at the moment but hoping it will  clear up.

Got to get up into the loft to get my "stuff" down for the church  fayre on 26th, have no idea what I have,     not  been any offers on things this year, still it will all be profit to the  church,  I will  be glad when it is over, not got the same enthusiasm  this year

Got a nice welcome back to church yesterday from those who new I had Covid,  knew  I was missed as before I had a chance  to answer otherwise I had a tin and raffle tickets plonked in front of me to sell,  don't like  that job and next time will try to say no, wasn't pleased about that but having  keep being  told I get things done I suppose  I ought to feel pleased, today I have to go with cap in hand to ask for donations  in 2 shops locally , another job I don't like, still all for a good cause

Hate to mention it but difficult to think it is 4 weeks to Christmas, yesterday  "stir up sunday", how many had a good stir yesterday in the mixing  bowl?, my neighbour often asks  me to stir her Christmas pudding but not yesterday , probably as she didn't know I was negative

Hope everyone is well, take care and mask up

Good morning  folks
Hope everyone  is well today despite the lousy weather

No  doubt  you have heard me mention my birthday during the week!!, well the icing on  the cake was that my daughter took my husband and myself  to Teignmouth to visit my twin brother, we stayed in Exeter on Friday night and  my daughter and her family went off to do their own thing whilst we travelled to Teignmouth   to visit my brother by bus, he had no idea we were going , his face when we arrived was an absolute picture, he never asked how we got there, we had a good story to cover up our daughter was in the area as well, later on we met up at a local Greek restaurant  with my family, he had no idea that we were all going to be there, his face once again a picture , was a lovely   evening

I have had an absolutely fabulous week and been thoroughy spoilt by friends and relations, back  to earth with a bump and back to normality, as my brother lives some 250 miles away I have no idea when I will see him again, both octogenarians now !!

I won't mention my birthday again,  till  next year  !!!
