Hi, I am researching the Westwood Family Tree and have a few queries.  Ann Jane Pedley married John Westwood in Manchester and I have their details.  Her mother was Harriet Nuttall and she married Joshua Pedley 1 September 1834.  Ann Jane was born in 1843.  Joshua was deported in 1844 for housebreaking and he married twice in Australia.  My queries are I cannot find either Harriet  after 1841 or Ann Jane after her birth until she became Ann Jane Westwood.  all records seem to point to Manchester, except for Joshua who was in Australia.   Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to find the family of Eliza Thompson, born in Manchester on 15 November 1894, she married Herbert Westwood and her father's name on the Certificate is James Thompson.  I have found several Eliza's with the father James but not sure which one is her.  In 1939 she was living in Thursley Avenue Manchester Married and with her four children and husband Herbert.  Can anyone help me find her correct parents as I can go no further with this tree until I have sorted her correct parents, already gone down wrong route once.  Thank you NEATWHEAT

Somerset / Harvey's of Nailsea

I have a challenge, I am looking for Joseph Harvey born 1808 in Nailsea, in the 1851 census. He married Hester Ball Christmas Day 1836 and they had Samuel 1836, James 1840 and Charles 1842.  According to records I have Hester's death as 1843 and Joseph married again an Elizabeth Rodway in Cheltenham in 1853 they then moved to Monmouthshire and eventually settled in Cardiff.  Joseph's father was Uriah Harvey and in 1851 Uriah, James and Charles are in the workhouse near Nailsea but this is what is strange there is a Hester Harvey in the workhouse and a note says "husband absconded". I am now wondering if Hester did die in 1843 and if this is Joseph's wife and mother of Samuel, James and Charles, he has committed bigamy.  In 1861 census James and Charles are living with their brother Samuel and his wife as lodgers,I cannot find this Hester Harvey in 1861.Can anyone throw some light on this please.  James is my GGG Grandfather

This is a photo of my father before he left for Canada from Liverpool in about 1928 when he was 14.  I wonder if someone could improve it for me

Also a photo of my great uncle Hugh Hughes with his daughter taken in Conway, she was my Nain's cousin

I am trying to research a family tree for a friend and not got very far.  Details are:-
Francis Edward Goulding born St Pancras 1893 - I have found him and his wife May and children Francis and Elizabeth, but going back is difficult.  His farther was George Goulding born about 1852 in Pimlico and his mother was Mary born New Hall Devon or on 1911 it says Knowstone Devon.  She remarried after George died and became Mary Haberfield, I have found her a widow in 1939 living in Kings Road, London.   I have all Francis (Frank) siblings, George, John, Rhoda, Thomas, and Annie but I cannot find a marriage for George and Mary so no surname for her and I cannot find George senior before 1881.  I do know he was a jeweller.   There is a George Gooding born in Pimlico in 1852 but does not fit any of the Goulding family details. Is anyone able to help please.

Warwickshire / Thomas Smith Born Leeds c1854

I am wondering if anyone can help trace Thomas Smith Born Leeds about 1854 but lived in Aston Birmingham.  I am doing this research for a friend and this is what I have found
Thomas Smith married Amy Billingsley 1879 in Birmingham I have found the records for that.  I have also found a child Thomas John Smith born to them in 1877 before they were married.  I have found Thomas Smith in 1911 living in Cardiff with a new wife named as Annie, I was told he married a Sarah Ann after Amy Billingsley.  There are two children in 1911 William Henry Smith born c1886 (mother was Amy) and Ellen (Mary Ellen born 1893 to Sarah Anne and Thomas. , notes on the 1911 census says they have been married 20 years.  I have found a Thomas Smith in Birmingham with Amy and John Thomas Smith in 1881 but the record says that Thomas was born in Northampton and the 1911 says Leeds Yorkshire, very confusing. I have also found William Henry in Cardiff in 1939 .  There was another son born to Thomas and Amy in 1880  but he died in 1884. but he is not on the 1881 census, if I have the right family.  I cannot find Thomas Smith or any of the family in 1891. Also would like to find Thomas Smith's father but with a common name not much chance.  Thanks for any help.  NEATWHEAT

This is a photo of my father who went to Canada with the YMCA when he was 14 and he worked on a farm in Ontario.  He returned to Cardiff two years later, he said his mother made him come back but she always said he was homesick. 
Is there any chance of repairing the photo

Hi, last week several people helped to solve a missing great aunt I'm my  tree, Eva Taylor.

Thank you for your help on Eva Taylor, it all fits into place. 

I now have one more piece of the jigsaw to solve, one of her sisters.

Her name is Ada Violet Winifred Taylor born in Cardiff 1898  have her in 1901 and 1911
She married Samuel Langford in 1916
They had a child Elsie Winifred Ellen Langford in 1916


After that I cannot find any of them.  Looked for more children, deaths, and 1939 but no trace.

Can anyone solve this one for me please
