Nottinghamshire / S Wilkinson & Sons Textile Waste Merchants

Hi Everyone
I have come across a small pen knife and bottle opener with the above inscription and a very old telephone number. It's the sort of thing I would love to have if the company was connected to my family. I believe it has little other value but wondered if there is anyone out there who has a connection and would like it.

Nottinghamshire / Robert Etherington death/burial

Hi Everyone

I am trying to find a death burial of the above. We have him as born Ipswich 1822. We have not been able to confirm this, as Suffolk records are not accessible to us. He is mentioned in a will we have of John Etherington who dies in 1868, where he was given the income from rents on certain properties during his lifetime. We are therefore keen to know when he died. He was living in Nottingham with his wife and children in 1871 but no where to be seen after that. Free BMD has a death recorded in 1886 of a Robert Decimus Etherington but i cannot find a place of burial for this person.
Any help much appreciated.

I have been browsing through the service records on Ancestry supposedly fro records of peoples names starting with WAR. I thought I would just list the names of the records that I came across that were misfiled amongst them.
William Arthur Harris
Frederick Charles Taylor
Francis George Tallet
Arthur Thorpe
Stanley Tordoff
James Freeston
Charles Arthur Townend
Herbert Foster
C.E. Lamerton ( these were amongst Frank Cecil Ward's records)
It's difficult for me to pinpoint for you exactly where these were but at least if the names mean anything to you you can browse through that area .

Family History Programs, Tree Organisation, Presentation / Family Tree Maker and Ancestry

Hi Everyone

Has anyone, like me, tried to merge a tree from Ancestry and a tree on Family Tree maker. I have spent my time since Friday trying to do this and contacting their support desk. The latest thing is that I have had to send them my tree from Family Tree maker so that they can merge it properly and include all the media.
Anyone have any experience of doing this, I must say I don't feel happy sending my tree to them via another web site.

I know from a newspaper account that Henry Grantham married Emma Pressley at Blidworth on 2 February 1852. I wondered if anyone has access to the records because I would really like to know who the fathers of the couple were and witnesses if possible.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / EDWARDS Joseph or Henry

Hi

Following some great info from Kezia, I have been able to follow it up and trace more parts to my family. I am now looking to find a burial of Joseph Edwards and or Henry Edwards in or around Timworth, Flempton, Tuddenham between about 1740 and 1751. This is so that I can possibly work out whose widow Stephen Goldsmith married in 1751 at Timworth.
